Disc unreadable...

Ok so I've been playing my NBA LIve 09 copy for the past 2 days with out a problem (Menus do load abit slow but nothing major)

Then today I went into it, get into the training gym part and then when i press start it says "The disc is unreadable - clean disc ect'

So I clean and check the disc and it was all fine, no scratches and its clean...

And then it finally worked, got to play some of my franchise... then when i quit it to go back tot he main menu I got the exact same message... This has happened twice (the franchise then quit thing)

Is it something wrong with my xbox?

Re: Disc unreadable...

i had the same problem, try clearing your hard drive cache. Go to this site for instructions:

http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/11131/...Code-Revealed/

If that doesn't work then you'll need to delete all of your nba live 09 files because one of them may be corrupt (as told to me by ea support).

Re: Disc unreadable...

I would honestly trade it in and get a PS3. I had the same problems with my xbox 360 and it got worse and worse until i got the flashing 3 red lights. Then i called xbox support and they told me i was past my warranty (which i was by a month only! i was pissed) and would charge me $150 for a new refurbished system. I said probably not and got a PS3. No problems, no worries.

Re: Disc unreadable...

I had this happen to me as well. If you INSTALL the games on the hard drive, and play from there, you will have no issues. I have 2 cracked games that continue to play because i installed them on my hard drive.

Also, some of the cases the games come in have a tendency to crack the disc from the inside, causing you to get the unreadable disc error...as this happened to me on a few occasions. The discs have -0- scratches but are cracked in the center.

Re: Disc unreadable...

Well I didn't do anything and it seems to to be working fine... Maybe I'll install it just to be sure.

Thanks for the help

Re: Disc unreadable...

Yea my first nba live 09 game cracked bc of the damn case it was in. No scratches but a little crack in the center. I bought a cd sleeve case and put all my games in there now bc that is ridiculous. People are saying not to force the game when putting it into the game case, well i have to say i have never gotten a crack in my entire life from putting a game in its original case before. Pressing a game down to put it back in its case should not cause a crack.

Re: Disc unreadable...

I just ran into this problem now (disc read error) Disc is clean and I don't see any cracks in the center of the disk. I'm currently in the process of installing the game to my Hard Drive. *Fingers are crossed*
