Are you able to explain how you find specific shoes in the explorer? I have been blind in the explorer looking at shoe_ng_XXXX.iff

It looks like most of the Nikes at 1XXX series and Adidas are 2XXX series but they dont appear to be in order. The manifest didnt appear to be of any use either.

I noticed version 1.0 included a global but 1.1 does not have a global.
Do we need the global from 1.0 for 1.1 to work properly?

The global from the 1.0 version contains texture files needed for other shoes in game.

In case that you're using another global file from other patchers, you will be required to inject those texture compilation files to your desired global mod of your choice. Seanbarkley provided a link for those textures.

1.1 version contains only the newly added shoes from the recent "Official Roster update" so same global is needed for it to run properly.
