CPU VS CPU

I purchased NBA 2K18 on steam during the current summer sale. It's like $8 & change it's going till the 5th I think.

I only have one controller hooked to pc it's ps3. Is there a work around to get it to work in watch mode at least. Last year on my ps4 I could do it with 2 controllers but my ps4 is broke. I did try to hook a 2nd ps3 controller but had errors so if it's gonna work it has to be with one.
