FWIW, icon passing worked fine for me and the audio didn't cut out in my first game post patch.

Studio scene stuttering is definitely improved. I still got some of those wierd foul reaction replays though. Generally it does feel like it's more optimized, gameplay was 60 FPS before patch but I think I picked up a few FPS in the dead ball situations too. Everything on high at 1920x1080.

It looks like the controller problem is limited to people using the xbox one controller as stated earlier.

I had minimal problems pre patch. Just got it downloaded, I boot up my game and now it freezes on this screen.....

Hmm, could be. I'm using a wired 360 controller and I've never experienced the problem (even when a lot of other people were).

Game works flawless for me everything maxed out. No stutters, no audio drops, end of the quarter highlights run as smooth as the halftime and post game highlights.

So judging by this and the other fellas' post you need i7 / 16 gigs of ram / 2 gigs of VRAM as a recommended amount in order to play the game. Otherwise your game going to be glitched and messed up. For comparison, official minimal requirements:

Processor: Intel Core2 Duo or better (SSE3 or later)
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: DirectX 10.1 compatible (512 MB) or better

Either game going to be optimized by the end of this year or we are stuck with same problems for a long time

Not even. GMSS's PC is a monster. Here's mine, which pulls 60 FPS in 1920x1080 during gameplay just fine (only time it drops below that is during stoppages when the wide-angle cameras appear). If anything mine is below spec for the highest-end games, but it does just fine here.
