No sound :(

Tried everything i could find online to no avail. 2k vet and owner of every edition so I'm not new to this..... what I am new to is all these pc problems. Few months ago, I didnt have sound, forgot what I did then but right now I'm w/o sound. Any help anyone?

I had a similar problem when I upgraded my graphics card. I have my PC connected to my television, and and stereo, bit didn't get sound. I updated the drivers, but that didn't work, eventually I connected my PC to some regular PC speakers, now they work. I would suggest just updating your drivers for direct9 or 10.

Just a couple of questions:
Is your computer custom built?
Is the computer in general having sound problems or is it just when you play 2k?
What kind of connection are you using to your TV (for example an HDMI cable setup)?

Yes my computer is custom built. I play skyrim everyday, no problem. I have regular monitor cords connection.

Try right clicking your volume icon, click on volume mixer, and see where the volume level for 2k is. I wasn't getting sound through that program and found that was the problem.
