Re: anti aliasing (PC)

there is already a thread on this, you don't need to create a separate one...

your processor is too slow, anything under 3.0ghz is too slow, and you need to increase the ram and update your catalyst and make changes there too..

Where do you get this information? 8GB of RAM is not enough? Hardly.

8 gigs is fine, just make sure its high ram...you know all ram doesn't have the same mhz and can't all be maxed in the graphics card catalyst, because some of it is dedicated to the operating system...

Maybe you misread what I was saying, there is faster ram just for PC gaming and smoother operations of a PC.

And I build PC's that's where I get my information from!

Your RAM is fine, but what you want to check is if you have your videocard Anti-aliasing set to in your Control Panel. If it's above 8x, it'll make guys like Anderson Varejao, Robin Lopez, etc have the translucent hair. That's my experience with it anyway. I'm merging the AA threads now.

Re: anti aliasing (PC)

It's an AMD thing. This game the last couple years just does not play nice with AMD video cards. I had all the glitches last year including transparent hair, missing players intro, and not being able to fully increase AA. Then I made a new build this year for BF3 amongst other things and switched to NVIDIA. All the glitches from 2K11 gone and everything is once again perfect this year.

Re: anti aliasing (PC)

I made a mistake in my posting, it's Antistropic Filtering (?) I think was the culprit to the invisible hair. Turn it off on the videocard CP, and it should make the hair come back. It's definitely not an ATI card issue, because i have a HD6950 and I have no problems whatsoever, with full AA and all options turned on.

Re: anti aliasing (PC)

I have a Nvidia Geforce 460 FTW, quad core CPU overclocked to 3.6GHz, and 8GB of RAM and had the same problem. I maxed out all of my setting in the game but turned Anti Aliasing OFF. Then I went to my Nvidia setting and maxed out Anti Aliasing there and now my graphics problems are gone.

I hope that helps. Peace.

Note: Graphically, NBA 2K11 > NBA 2K12 and NBA 2K9 looks better than all of them on PC so far. Why is 2K going backward graphically?
