Updating NEW Content is just ridiculous

I just picked this game up yesterday, and havent been able to even play a single game yet.

Yesterday I kept trying, 5-10 minutes a time before finally just starting up and leaving it.. it took 25 minutes! I figured the worst was past and everything had been updated.

Turned my game on this morning, had a shower and jumped on the computer. Its been on the screen for 45 minutes so far. I pressed B as I thought for sure it was frozen but nope, went back to the title screen as if nothing had even happened.

Its been 12 hours and I already want to smash this into a million pieces.

I've had the game since almost release day, & I'm having the same problem you are. Must be something with the servers. The longest I've ever seen before is a minute or so. Maybe 3 at worst.

It is annoying though.

That's a long time to wait. Longest has been 4-5 minutes. Half the time the content is just garbage that's not needed.

Delete the game data and try again.

Is your internet connection so slow that you'd assume it would take that long to begin with? Clear any game data from your system and retry. I've never spent more than 30 seconds on the startup screen, even on nights with server issues.

Four of my friends and I all picked the game back up at the same time and we all had to wait around 15 minutes for it to get past the updating new content piece. And we all have between 20-50 MB connections.

i've never waited longer than 5 seconds.

Usually takes 1-2 minutes for me.
