Tips on keeping your opponent off the offensive glass?

I play pretty good defense but I can never keep my opponent off the glass. Are offensive rebounds inevitable? Do defensive rebound ratings and defensive awareness help out? Should I change sliders? TIA.

If you're controlling the PF or c, DA, quickness/speed, aand vertical help the best. In my experience, in-game rebound ratings only help on boxing out but in simming games, rebound ratings are a determining factor in RPG. Check 'crash the board setting on coach sliders. Also adjust sliders as you see fit. Remember, you pay to use the game so tweak it to what works best for you.

I raised my off and def reb sliders to I think 55, and lowered the AI to 45 for both and now I get realistic rebounding #'s. When I had it set to default for both I was getting out rebounded big time, and considering Im the Pacers that shouldnt be happening to often to me. AI still grabs its share but it no longer feels that I am at a major disadvantage.

Im sure there are better players out there than I am, but I honestly feel that the AI is overpowered to a degree anyway with rebounding in general.

if you're talking about offline play, use JA money's sliders from the slider section of this forum. most realistic play ive had on 14 is with those sliders.

Personally I take control of a perimeter player (usually JR Smith, Shump, etc with NYK) and help on crashing the boards. It kills the chance of getting fast breaks, but it's better than getting completely destroyed on the boards (although if I can get within 5-8 boards of the opponent I consider that at win).

I try using the big men sometimes too but just am not good enough yet to offset the *** kicking I get lol

Since I have Kirilenko and KLove as my backcourt, I just use perimeter defender and press LT.
