All this stuff has been done before but the emotional part comes from the fluidity and natural look of it all and that's where Madden's biggest problems lye. Madden's jittery unnatural animations take you out of reality and reminds you it's just a game where as next gen NBA 2K14's animations are silky smooth and the transitional animations natural looking. Football"s emotions can not be expressed through facial animations because of helmets on the players but instead portrayed through the athleticism of the sport.
Dez Bryant, Steve Smith, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, and many more all show emotion on the field and you can see their emotion in their body language, inside their helmets, and on the sidelines with helmets off.

I hope they can go farther with the engine to the point where footwork plays a bigger part in the game and dribbling will be more specific and unique. They also better implement this on defense because that is their largest weakness. To be honest, although the visuals are stellar, the gameplay really is still the same for now but I know next year, we will see the true potential of this beast. And about that no jump shot animation will ever be the same, imagine if dribbling or crossover animations were differenciated from sloppy to effective due to how you would time it. PS they should also add tier dribbling like live so not every animation looks like a crossover and replace unrealistic animations like when the player is just standing there with the ball exposed right for a steal instead of going to a triple threat.

If I was LeBron, I would get a damn haircut, go up to 2K headquarters and demand to do my head scan over.

These are probably the two most nitpicking things ever but it's a little annoying. The nets on the rim are thin like paper, it's funny how they add so much detail to the shot clock but keep the net looking like a cut up piece of paper. Secondly, after all these years, why does the big screen show the team's logo?! It should show the game in the broadcast view to the crowd. You know like it does in real life. Those are little details I expected would change immediately in next gen.. Hoping those change in 2k15.
