This always happens. They come out with a solid game on release day, then after a week or 2 of complaints from the casual/mainstream audience, they adjust the settings to make offense easier and crack under pressure like rats in the mafia. I remember this happening in 2K11.

I can see it coming already. They will take ranked games off of the simulation settings and will try to act like nothing changed. This defense is so good this year that tons of people will be frustrated that they can't play the way they always play. Maybe not so much on this forum, but on other forums where most of the cheesers hang.

Even though I don't play ranked games anymore, having them set on anything other than SIM is a bad idea. It will encourage the cheeser playstyle and people will never be forced to learn how to "truly" play the game. Which means more cheesers out there that eventually begin to infest our online league community.

2K grab your balls and man up this year.

Agree 100% They need a casual setting and a sim setting, basic filters. I hope they don't cater to the weakest easiest denominator. I haven't even played yet but 2K has to bring them on board with real basketball. I think Coach Nick will help promote the usage of plays and hopefully youtubers promote them as well. The only way we get better games is to teach casuals better fundamentals. We don't want casuals determining all game play decisions especially with next gen around the corner.

Totally untrue. If anything they've fixed some problems the game had. Not to make it 'easier' for casual players.

Misread what he said. He said he likes the gameplay balance NOW, but noob complaints have caused casual-friendly patches in past games.

Yup. I hope I am wrong but knowing 2K, they will fall to the casuals yet again. Even last year, I remember them patching the easy 3pters, then a week or so later they cracked and put the 3's back up again.

How do you expect people to truly learn how to play the game if you keep it on easy mode? I hope 2K14 can discourage the cheeser playstyle/mentality that many people have had for so many years, but we need 2K Sports to stand their ground if this is going to happen.

Lol, 2k has been getting more casual for years. Notice how the sim label is gone? Also notice how 2k13's focus was gimmicky features like "look guize jay z! music videos before the games! hype right?!" and dunking was just waay overpowered?

Same thing I tweeted LD a few weeks ago. He was confident that 2K would stand behind these online settings and not change it. I believe him.....but I have been made a fool of before ......
