No icon on defense for online play

So iam watching gator play live stream on twitch and I noticed the guy he was playing against didnt have any circle indicator when on defense. Which means that in leagues with on ball defense rules there will be no Lear way to know if your opponents are adhering to the rules.

It was like this in 2k12 and it was a pro and con situation. How does OS feel about it coming back or should I say going away again in 2k14?

Was he on Xbox or PS3? Xbox hid it this year. PS3 didn't. I kind of like knowing who my opponent is using.

I want it in, would just like to see if he is or isn't playing on-ball, either way tho... he can play w/e way he wants to play.

Another feature that hardcore sim players loved which was taken out of the game for no damn reason at all. I'm about to quit this basketball gaming sh*t altogether soon. It ain't even worth it getting screwed over by stupid money hungry companies.

Anyone who starts their offense by searching for the user controlled defender is "usually" gonna be running a bs offense. Haha. Looking for the iso or easy bucket. I never understood why it mattered. However, it seems that many care so it should be in the game.

I can guarantee he is one of the 5 defenders.

I pretty much gave up any hope of ever having an enjoyable online experience with this series (offline is much better for me), but I agree with this poster's opinion. I find that the CPU plays you much better on defense than the average online player anyway, and that isn't saying much. Personally, I always play on-ball defense whether it's against a human or the AI, but I couldn't care less how my opponent plays me on defense. Like one of my students would say, I'm just here to get buckets; it doesn't matter who it's against.
