Harden can play pos 1-3 effectively...I wish he was a sixer, lol.
He is stronger and bigger than Curry.

Yeah, one problem is that the ratings system doesn't jive properly with the game's momentum system.

Crawford is supposedly a streaky shooter in real life (although who knows what the data actually is if anyone bothered to look at it), but in he's rated as though as if he's on a perpetual hot streak.

Then when you do get him going in a game, and momentum kicks on, he becomes an all-time-great.

Really, Crawford should play at that 80 level only when he's "hot." His baseline should be a 70-75.

Not this again lol

Overall doesn't necessarily mean better. Better can be defined in so many ways. Plus they play two different positions and the ratings mean different things depending on the position.

88 Curry better shooter than 89 Harden you can argue this. 88 Paul George is a better defender than Harden you can argue that. Better is relative. Are any of these guys better than Hibbert (81) in the post no? Overall is like a gage to tell you whether the player is good for association but you still have to look at their individual ratings.

Harden is probably the best at drawing fouls almost like a skill of drawing contact and he is the king of the euro step but he doesn't have a good mid range game, but he can get hot from deep.

I'd like to know exactly how they determine these overall rankings. Harden is an 89, and Paul George is an 88? I disagree. 89 for Harden sounds about right. 85-86 feels more accurate for George. But either way, I'm looking forward to the new Stats system and how it will play out when the season gets going.

Their 2013 RS or PO stats definitely prove that Harden is not better than Curry

Curry & Harden both have inflated ratings anyway to get to their overall ratings. I suspect both of them have questionable defensive ratings to get the bumps to reach the highest number they could be given, based on what they did last season.

Haha I am sure it is proprietary but take it with a grain of salt. A guy like George is a top 5 defender, on ball defender, steals, can block and generally harass shooters. His shooting is average or below average. However he can defend the 1, 2, and 3 very well and is a top tier finisher at the rim. So just as Harden can take over offensive wise he can effect the defense. Harden is really good on offense attacking the rim off iso, pick and roll and is not a bad passer but is turnover prone but is not a great shooter from mid range.

Seriously, again? Every year the same old discussion about ratings? I thought people would know by now how it works.

Ratings don't mean anything in this game, it doesn't matter. You can average (even with decent sliders and at superstar difficulty or higher) 30 ppg - 10 apg - 2 spg with Daniel Gibson who is in his mid 60's.
