Non-Star Championship Team

The game is built around stars. It all starts and ends with stars. We know that, but which group, of players which aren't top tier stars right now, can make it through the entire 82 season, enter the playoffs, and then, take it all against a matchup in a 7 game series (against what's considered NBA's best: Thunder, Heat, Spurs, Clippers/Knicks/Lakers)


You guys can mix and match players from different teams, previous all stars, and/or former championship teams, just not players in any of the past couple all star games (2012 & 2013) and they have to be active.

The whole idea is to come up with a group which no one would see coming if such a season started tomorrow. Remember, this group has to make it through the entire season, enter the playoffs, and then, take it all against any matchup in a 7 game series (more than likely against your typical Thunder, Heat, Spurs, Clippers/Knicks/Lakers)

You can disregard any current injuries your selected players have in order to star the season fresh, but you still have take into account any injuries players my sustain during this one year.


I have about 50 candidates, and once I narrow them down to 15, I will post the list with my logic explained.

Off the top of my head about half the teams in the league fit in this bucket. You could give it a try with really any of them.
