What do you want added to Association mode in 2K14?

Just some stuff i'd like to see added to Association Mode, feel free to add.

D-League
- Bring back the Development League
- If there are veteran players that are willing to sign for the veteran minimum then they could be added to your D-League squad.
- If certain players are in the D-League in real life and in the NBA 2K14 free agent market go ahead and add them to their corresponding teams.
- Players should be more than happy to accept a 10-Day contracts (especially guys like Arenas).

Player Roles
- Fix "Player Roles" by changing them to specific roles such as Energizing Scorer (player who brings energy and puts up points in a hurry), Defensive Specialist, Veteran Leader (Stackhouse), Garbage Time (Robert Sacre), etc
- Add different personality's so that players like Nate Robinson or Grant Hill won't want a bigger role
- All rookies role should be defined by their overall, some 2K generated rookies have a 50 OVR drafted in the 2nd Round with a Star role which makes no sense.
- Overall shouldn't make certain guys not take a "role player" position, add more personality traits (ex: if the team is a championship contender this player would take a lesser role) or if the player had a down season he is more likely to accept a lesser role


Coaches/Management
- Add more coaches to the free agent pool such as Stan & Jeff Van Gundy, Nate McMillan, Phil Jackson, Mike Brown, Mike Dunleavy, etc.
- Have the option to promote your Assistant Coach to your Head Coach (Terry Stotts, P.J. Carlesimo, Brian Shaw, etc)
- Better computer personnel management (Yea I know what the Orlando Magic's previous record was but don't fire him, decide how the CPU fires their coaches maybe by their projected record and if they under perform then go ahead and fire him)
- Remove one of the scouts and replace it with another assistant coach slot, there are too many scout slots (3).
- Add Coach Reputation - Coaches should have a respect meter, More wins, playoff trips & finals appearances/wins should lead to greater respect from the league. Respected coaches makes it easy to sign bigger name free agents & should factor into the free agents decision to sign with a team, it should also make it easier for them to handle more than usual amount off "Unpredictable players"such as DeMarcus Cousins, Carmelo Anthony, etc also his assistants should be hot targets when teams need to hire a head coach in the off-season (ex: Spurs, Jacque Vaughn)
- Coaches should have a play style, for example Scott Brooks likes a 6th man that could be a starter for any other team in the league and Chicago likes defensive minded 2nd unit players
- Coaches should ask GM's for players that they think suit their playstyle/team needs
- Make it easier to fire/hire coaches (have no cap)

Training/Off-season
- More development training(and better balancing some are too easy, others are harder than they should) during the season like inside/post game/passing etc. You should also be able to train new dunks with players granting them a new package(specially good for rookies).

Generated Draft Class Rookies and NBA Draft Presentation
- Fix auto generated rookies accessories, something you can do is add whatever a certain NBA player uses onto the generated rookie (also if a player has an Adidas sleeve, he should have Adidas shoes on)
- Option to edit the faces of generated players even after they enter the league
- Add more tattoo variety (specifically add more sleeve tattoos & get rid of the bright colored/flame tattoos)
- Add more hair options (fade, buzzcut, flat top, fauxhawk, etc) and more facial hair options
- There should be more First & Last names in the data base (like College Hoops 2K8 and MLB The Show).
- No MJ layup package for any generated players (triggers at the most inappropiate times)
- The player who gets drafted should walk onto the stage and put on the draft team hat. Like in MyPlayer mode except for every draft pick .There should be more hype for the prospects (through monthly TV show idea, see Realism to Mimic Real Life) as the season goes on & players stock should rise and fall depending on scouts opinions.
- Add Body type options & Wingspan (ex: Some guys are undersized but make up for it with their wingspan or their wingspan makes them have a better look at the basket or their wingspan makes them great defenders/shot blockers), ex: Byombo, Sefalosha, Durant, Davis, etc.

Potential
- Fix the potential system for rosters. It's awful. There shouldn't be 20-some guys in the 90 overall range. And even more will be in the 80 range. Not realistic at all.

Rotations/Lineups
- Make Rotations carry over into Association Mode instead of Resetting.
- Switch up the lineups, have sixth men that are better than most starters (Ginobli).

Trades
- FIX CPU Trade Logic (No trading away 1st round picks like they come from trees).
- For the most part NBA trades go down in February the month of the deadline not the first day of the season and there needs to be more trades towards/at the deadline DAY, there is usually little to no activity in this game
- If a player has told the team he will test the market, teams should want to trade this player to get something in return (Harden)
- Players should waive their no trade clause every now and then if they are being traded to a contending team or its a big market, hometown team).
- Add sign and trade deals (ex: Steve Nash)

Draft Picks
- Incorporate FUTURE Draft Pick Trades to Mimic REAL Life.

Realism to Mimic Real Life
- Add correct head coach contracts, some are like a year long in the game when in real life they are like 5 years (Frank Vogel, Doc Rivers, Woodson, etc)
- Make it so "Star" players such as Chris Paul or Dwight Howard don't sign with teams that are not contenders or aren't in a big market/city.
- Add Home/Away Shoes and Accessories - this year was pretty bad in terms of home and away options. An easy fix would be for a player to have a section for Home and Away accessories.
- Add Sneaker Rotation System - so players who wear a different shoes/brands every other game will randomly have a different shoe of the rotation (ex: Rondo, DeRozen, Odom all wear Jordan and Nike shoes)
- Replace NBA Headlines with something like this... There should be a monthly show like College Hoops 2K8 & Madden NFL had discussing Upcoming Games, Trades, Signings, Rumors, What teams need (Defense, Shooters, New Coaches, More Draft Picks, etc) Player Production, All-Star Voting, Playoff Race & Finals.
- Have the option to change ticket, parking, jersey prices, etc. Make it more like the "Franchise" mode MLB The Show has. Have the option to upgrade the stadium or build a new stadium. Also have the option to sign endorsements to show on the court or by the hoop, around the stadium, etc.
- Teams with bad records should have more empty seats
-Better teams should have a great playoff atmosphere (Thunder, Heat, etc)

- Better reactions post game winners (jumping onto the guy, running down the court, chest bumps, stand still wait for teamates to come congratulate you, etc)

Re-Signing/Free Agency
- Team shouldn't always "match" your offer sheet (have the option to edit each year of the contract, just like they did to Lin).
- Better re-signing/opt for FA logic (if you just won the championship and you're getting a max contract there's no reason to opt for FA, ex: Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul, etc)
- Players should be able to change their mind if they originally said they wanted to test the FA market, you can still offer them a contract to try and persuade them to stay
- Certain role/sixth man players will take the veteran, mid-level exception to sign with contenders.
- GM sit downs with players like in MyCareer where you can interact with them and negotiate their position/rotation/contract/trade (ex: superstars might want more depth at x position or want x player gone).

Contracts
- In Association mode you can sign veteran players for the minimum of 473k which is wrong the players salary has to do with the amount of years the player has played (see the chart below, shout out to Eagle Rock)

I'd enjoy the A.I. teams not starting their best 5 players 82 games of the year. Switch up the lineups. Have sixth men that are better than most starters.

Fix the potential system for rosters. It's awful. Unless your rosters have gone through each player, there will be 20-some guys in the 90 overall range. And even more will be in the 80 range. Not realistic at all.

This isn't purely Association, but fix the CAP's. They look terrible, especially in CPU generated draft classes.

Fixing caps would be my number one peeve. I trade away all my draft picks because I hate how the caps look.

It's better now that I use Vtcrb's draft class, but they still stand out a bit too much for me.

Rotations/total sim control to carry over into association mode so u don't need to reset all rotations in every association

Better computer trade logic

Better computer personnel management

I'll definitely add some to the list once I get on my PC. I'd like to see an addition of create your own team during Association mode that way we can create the Sonics again or just our own team similar to Madden.

This would be a GREAT Option. Imagine the Possibilities, FIBA, Classic Teams, College teams and Euroleague. If they gave CAP and CAT system Upgrades we would have ENDLESS options.

Well the suggestions so far have been the main key points that I've been expressing for the past 2 years now.

-NBA D League, you want to assume they took out of this years game in order to possibly have a full year to look at it and fix it from an editing standpoint and a realistic standpoint like being able to somehow download the actual roster once maybe twice a month cause of the constant player movement in the d-league. I'd settle for once the d-league has its draft that 2K implement the teams then and those are the realistic d-league rosters from the d-leagues opening night or right after the draft, the implementation of new players on a daily basis we could not expect 2K to do that, it would be impossible, so I'd suggest creating a good number of generic CAPS to edit yourselves for each user in Association mode in order to not have to restart over.

-Coaches, Assistant Coaches need to be overhauled. Remove one of the scouts and replace it with another assistant coach slot. I'd rather have the option of 2 assistant coaches plus a head coach and then a massive coaches free agent pool consisting of head/assistant/2nd assistant coaches that have been in the league at one time or another that aren't officially retired going back possibly maybe 3-5 years.

-Player roles, here are two ways to fix it (1) you remove it from the game since the roles are especially from the bench players are inaccurate and should be described differently or (2) keep the player roles as is, but remove the minutes generalization from the roles, in other words don't tell us that starters expect to play 32+ minutes or whatever it is. Bench roles need to be defined in greater detail. You have Sixth man which is self explanatory, but when you say role player you should have different options for them, such as role player (energizer) for a player who comes off the bench with energy, to hype his team and or the crowd up or role player (defensive specialist) for a player who comes off the bench with an aggressive defensive toughness about it and is put on the opponents hottest player or best player. Role players are defined by certain types, not generalized. Do not make prospects count as role players, basically using my formula just explained you are defining a role player by calling him a prospect, that's unfair and leaves us with limited options in the game as it stands. Stars should be given to those players with a rating of a possibly 94 and higher, at least a number to off set them from a regular player. Going back to prospects they should be given to 1st round draft picks and optional to second round picks if signed to a long term deal. Bench Warmers should be regulated to possibly players who are in slots 10-15 on a teams roster. Maybe another way to solve this issue is to place the player role in the order of the roster of a team, so for example numbers 1-5 are given the Starters role w/the option of being a star if rating meets requirement. Number 6 is reserved and given to the player as 6th man with numbers 7-10 being given to the role players (with a described ability). Only rookies or 2nd/3rd year players are allowed the Prospect role and if they are in the 11th or 12th slot they get bench warmer or prospect or role and slots 13-15 are of course inactive.
