Advice on Low Post Play

Can I please have some advice on getting shots to fall in the low post. I miss so many shots right underneath the basket. I'm using the Sixers and Bynum shouldn't be this bad in the post.

Re: Advice on Low Post Play

My post play drastically improved when I started using the "High" camera (height 10, zoom 1). The angle is very helpful for post moves.

If you're right underneath the basket, pump fake, hold turbo, shot stick/button. Dunk time. If you're a little further out, then post up and mix up your attack a little bit. Bynum has good ratings in the post on both the fadeaway and hook, so mix it up. Pump fake, lay it in. Fadeaway. Shimmy fadeaway. Power back down for the hook.

Bynum's so big and strong you can pretty much back any one down close to the basket. At that point a hook shot is your best bet. Mix it up though. Use the pump fake to try and get the defender off his feet.

with bynum any time you have a strength size advantage just back him in try to start with deep position then once close enough just drop step pump fake then go up. Otherwise mixup hook shots with up and under moves to avoid contact layups

Re: Advice on Low Post Play

In Game Modes there is a Post Move's 2 v 2 practice mode, use it. Pump fakes are your best friend in the post. Also remember you can fake before you take a dribble as well (then use that dribble to get past one defender and have another fake at your disposal), and pressing y (triangle) will face you back up after a post up resulting it quite a few good chances at driving past your opponent.

AI was wrong you just need Practice and the hook really only falls on a regular basis if you're only a few feet from the basket.

It's important to go through the actual training camp mode to learn new post moves and also the 2k13 instruction booklet. I read to do the advanced moves
