Re: OS Roundtable: Where does NBA 2K13 Stand?
Add in Less in air contact animations, Faster recovery time on defense, Less Animations where we're stuck in if we do commit to a missed block or steal, and put in My Crew with fully customizable jerseys, stadiums, and you got yourself a deal.
Where does this 2k rank? I still believe 2k11 achieved more as far as game immersion. I've had more fun playing crew with my friends than i've had playing my team/my player blacktop....to be honest the best part of 2k13 is the right stick dribbling, the manual bounce passes, and my career mode, otherwise this game isnt all that as far as being able to play with your friends online. There's no defense in the paint online, no shot blocking. If you play a blacktop game, everyone can shoot three's, you can't alter anyones shot, the computer never misses a shot, the matchmaking is broken and takes forever to start up, it's only a half court game which blows, and there are too many ballhogs....oh yeah, this Virtual currency system stinks, why the hell don't you just stick with skill points? people buying blue diamonds for $20 bucks, buying overall 99's? gtfoh 2k...that's just too much.. in my honest opinion, 2k11 trumps this game because there was actual defense being played minus the constant bumping.
to reiterate...add crew, more blocks, better matchmaking, better clothes to choose from in the mp store, and you just might have yourself the greatest basketball game of all-time!
