Quickest shot release for MP?

I've been playing MP for a little while the past two days and i can't find a shot that seems right to me. I tried the "Truth"'s shot and i was too late. Every time i shoot i get a too early release which seems odd because it seems perfect when i let it go. Whenever i hold it till it's "excellent" i get blocked because the defender has had like 3-4 seconds to run over and jump -__-
Right now im using release 3 and base 9 but im still shooting too early. Anyone have any other pairs that might be faster?

I use release 3 and base 9 too, and it's fine... just keep practicing it. Or it may be your connection
