NBA 2K13 AI Cheese / Difficulty Issues

Okay, I'm not sure how many other people can confirm what I'm talking about, but I got 2k before the release date this year...& the AI played very similar to 2k11 as far as "cheesing." the game awarded you for playing defense etc, just like the demo. The game just felt good & was very fun to play!

But on 10/2 when they released the game/update when you boot up...it felt exactly like 2k12. i can tell when the AI just didn't want me to score and it went right back to feeling scripted. This completely ruins the game for me as I feel I am being cheated every game. I used to beat the computer on HOF in 2k11, now I struggle on All-Star in 2k12/13.

Offensive rebounding is horrible this year.
I can barely block a shot in the paint.
AI hardly misses in the paint.
lot's of contested shots still being made with ease.
etc
etc

There's plenty of issues already known of course, but I just want to know if I'm the only one who feels this way...

No ur fine man. Offensive rebounding is mentioned everywhere. A.i. Seems to exploit more this year. Game needs a patch for sure.

yeah offensive rebounds need to be toned down for sure. My other concern is the teammate AI jogging back on defense which makes the CPU run fast breaks with 100% success especially with the effectiveness of full court passes.

Points in the paint are a concern too for me. But some games I get a good PIP-total score ratio from the cpu, then there are other games where they get 80% PIP. A combination of offensive rebounding and sometimes the AI teammate defense getting lost when the CPU makes cuts to the paint. That or maybe because I'm using the Kings who have horrible interior defense lol

New to the site.

I'd like say one thing, now I agree that offensive rebounds is ridiculous, and fast breaks too.

But I also noticed that when I box out my man at least HE isn't getting an offensive board! And I do slip up often and forget and try to crash the boards, it ends up that my assignment will end up getting it. So, I focus on boxing out. Fundamentals. It helps a lot but it still needs a slight tuning.

As for PIP it's stupid that the AI Will run 100% of the time without plays or anything and usually forcing it in the paint, but If on D, instead of wandering around or even trying to get offensive rebounds, try running back on D.
There have been moments where I am on D while my team is still on O a la McGee. (I'm also an sf on nuggets) but by getting back on D, I force the AI to set up and play freelance which is better then a fast break force.

Sorry if I ramble, I'm on a bus and very distracted.

Re: NBA 2K13 AI Cheese / Difficulty Issues

Hey guys, I'm thinkin about buying 2k13, but I hesitate when I remember how 2k12 would make me put a dent in the wall sometimes. Have these problems with the A.I. been addressed?

1. Rubberband effect. Whether I play on pro or hall of fame it's always a close game

2. Shot clock cheese. cpu dribbles at top of key not moving, jacks up shot with 2 sec left and it goes in

3. A.I. gets nearly every loose ball/offensive rebound

4. Jumpstop head-fake step through lay up combo is unstoppable, when used by A.I. or user. With superstars its the spin. Im guilty of cheesing this too.

5. As you increase the difficulty of the game, it only widens the gap between the other teams A.I. and your teams A.I. Naturally it's harder for your cpu teammates to know how to react with a user player, but my players stare at loose balls right in front of them, move like lost sheep when reacting to screens etc. and the other teams cpu plays pretty tight for the most part. I CAN ONLY CONTROL ONE PLAYER AT A TIME 2K!

1. I don't see any major comebacks, but in the second or third quarter the shooting percentage for both teams skyrocket and the game becomes too high scoring.

2. It happens, but rare.

3. You may have to mess with sliders a bit.

4. It misses more and CPU rarely uses it.

5. It has always been and will always be the case.
