I see the same exploits abused in older 2ks, still working for 2k13

.the hop step is back. so.. the hopstep abuse is back.
the euro step abuse is also in this years game as well.

the abuse of the hopstep is due to the collision system not being able to make the hopstepper fall or stumble when he hop steps even when a defender is right there. thats not possible in real life. you would crash into the person. in 2k13, you move the defender when you do it. it pushes him backwards(makes him slide backwards to be exact)

the euro abuse is no that guys do it. if you start to really lock up people defensively. they will go to EURo step abuse. this means even when you're there they will euro THRU you. which will result in fouls on you more times then deserved.

again collions issue. if i'm right there. right where the guy will end his last euro step(basically i'm not going for the side step move). then the euro stepper should run right into me. and either we both fall, stumble, he looses the ball from time to time. gets hurt(ankle, knee bruise) from time to time. etc.

non of that occurs.

then the "do you know the take off Spots on the floor." this will reward you with super quick, layups, dunks, and fouls that you dont deserve. you can just make a move and hit the shot button from these SPOTS on the court and the offensive player will do the rest for you. the animation will kick in for a sweeping layup or a dunk. if a defender is there. half the time its a foul on you the defender.

This stuff has been in 2k since 2k11(minus the hop step when they took it out).

and for those that have yet to see it. Play an online ranked match or a my team game. you'll see.

last but not least. everyone plays the same online. they run side to side, trying to get the cpu defender thats guarding another one of their teammates to loose focus then chase them, even if you dont call for a double and even if you're playing on ball defense. this happens every time. and someone ends up wide open. if you go after the open guy. they will hit the original guy for a give n go or a wide open 3. again i cant stop the cpu from coming over to help. even if i turn HELP down in the settings. doesnt matter.

people who play the game enough knows this is a glitch and they abuse it. like they always have.

Last but not least. the stand under the rim glitch. to make a guy who is capable blow a wide open layup. its so unrealistic to think a NBA player with good inside rating. is going to blow a layup just cause some guy is under the rim. the guy is not in great defensive position if he's that deep. why is this even bothering the layup guy? terrible.

actually another last but not least. the MOMENTUM crap. stop it with that 2k. its over done. i'm steadily getting leads on guys online. just running plays. killing them. taking whatever is given. mid range with mid range shooters, threes with three point shooters, up fakes and go moves since the jumper is sold. post ups, etc. i'm way ahead. and no matter what i do. here comes the SLO MO passes out of the blue(steal, run out, layup, dunk). or the blown layups. i have even seen in the 4th late in the game. the moment kicked in so hard for the opponent. i would fake a pass, put them completely out of position. swing the ball once more. so they are way to far away. shoot the 3. and they would come from the middle of the court to the side 3pt line to tip block my shot. AWFUL 2k. where did they get this ULTRA athletic ability from all of a sudden?momentum glitch nonsense. FIX IT.

I have to disagree. Its fairly easy to stop someone doing the hop step unlike in 2k11. I have yet to have a problem with it. Same thing with the euro step.

I agree with you that there are lots of exploits, but in regards to the hop step and euro step, I personally haven't come across anyone who's had success in abusing either.....I have very little success rate when trying either of those....My main concerns are bad AI controlled team mates (cutting to the hoop when open), the barrage of 3 pointers and the ridiculous amounts of dunks and the success rate at which they both fall.

I haven't seen too many dunks (at least worse than 2k12,2k11, etc) however I have noticed a crazy amount of 3 pointers, and its never me that is making them. Today I played about 5 games, and in 3 of them the guys went off for about 70% three point, but at one point they were about 90% and something like 9/10 (in both games). I have never had this kind of success with great shooters and am wondering if I'm actually doing something wrong.

I agree.. What determines the skill of the eurostep this year? Last year it was an ability and someone like ginobili had a "GREAT" rating for eurostep.

Is it just the same for everyone now?

haha..I like that... "it's never me hitting them"..I feel the same way....I had a guy obliterate me earlier today by using Deandre Jordan of all people...he had like 24 points at half time..and you know he was just jamming away, cuz Deandre Jordan isn't a presence out of the paint....I didn't even check to see how many he finished with...but I k now it was non stop offensive rebound after rebound, followed by a dunk...

Personally, I love the game, but that doesn't mean Im all happy about it...I think there's to much emphasis on the ball handler and the dribble stick...Everything is geared towards offense and I feel like I'm playing NBA Live 09, online. 2K servers have been great for me so far (which is a plus) but I feel like they over loaded the offense and forgot about the defense...There is no risk for people who are cheesing the hell outta this game....They are simply rewarded for playing that style, more so this year, than others, IMO

100% Correct along with the bs spin dunk still 95% working for skilled cheesers.. Its sad to see 2k always using this hidden ability. Every1 knows about this hidden momentum yet 2k leaves it in for the casuals online.. I thought Online is supposed to be who is the best at the highest level. Not who is the best on pro or allstar default level for rank games. It really is a joke and i hope they fix the Online Gameplay. The servers r actually good so far this year so props on them for that. But their Online Gameplay is by far the worst again. Fix the sliders 2k for Online ASAP.

I am a online only player. Don't get me wrong, 2k13 is an amazing game, by far the best bball up to date. But the online rank matches makes the game play horrible. It seems like every online player is experiencing the same issues. Actually cheeses like hopstep, spin dunks, euro ( was never really a cheese last year ) are not cheeses anymore. You can stop hopstep or euro easily and spin dunks are not that easy to pull off compared to 2k12, and when they do, they can actually miss or get stripped or blocked this year.

But so far, the issues in online ranked games for 2k13 that make the online experience horrible are

1. Off rebounds
2. Ridiculously high success rate of shots, midrange an 3's even when heavily contested.
3. Too easy to score in paint, every bigamy seems to be D Howard in the paint. All the layups and standing dunks seem to not be effected by defensive contact.
4. Long football passes extremely accurate leading to constant cherry picking.

Those are the 4 that bother me most. I am on ps3 and I am 40-4, but it's not about winning or losing, the games are not fun and I don't feel like it takes much skill to win. Everyone is reggie miller from 3, everyone is d. Rodman on off boards, everyone is as Tom Brady when throwing long passes, and everyone big man is shaq in the paint... Please please fix this 2k. Because if these issues are fixed, online would be amazing. Would be a great bball sim.
