Pick-N-Roll Tips

I'm having decent success with PNR, but I don't feel I'm maximizing its potential. Anyone have any tips?

I'm not picking on you, just asking a question you should ask: are you having th success you SHOULD be having? Maybe you should only have "descent" success and you are already maximizing the potential. Any more may be exploitation.

Just asking.

I'm having the same question, I did make some good plays with PNR, but even I'm not sure it's luck or out of random. Still can't figure the difference between options"roll" and "slip ". Can anyone show me?

Slip = Not actual pick and straight cut to basket

Roll = They actually pick, and cut to the basket

fade is where a player will stay back instead of rolling on the pick...good examples of this are pau gasol, tim duncan, serge ibaka, and others...guys that have decent mid range

Re: Pick-N-Roll Tips

Pick and roll game is nice. Just tore up the Lakers with Celtics using pick and roll. Cant force it though but if the player with the ball shows a threat to the inside, someone like Garnett is sitting back.

Dont always use the pick either. Just getting the opponent's big man from down low will open things up.

The pick and roll is nice with chris paul and Blake Griffin/Jordan.

Slower players like Garnett/Duncan dont roll as hard/fast as Griffin/Josh Smith.

Also got an option passing into the corner with a good shooter or slasher.

Choices are unlimited.
