As for closing out games, TAKE EVERYTHING inside. Take no jump shots if you're up in the 4th. Drive the lane, force your way to the FT line. Play solid D (no stupid fouls, button spamming). BOXOUT BOXOUT BOXOUT, rebounding is everything in the 4th
Okay, but most of the time im not leading, i get really close and then suddenly i collapse...really frustrating, like i donīt have any ideas any more, what to do on offense...Okey, Detroit isnīt that good team also and im not that frustrated to be 1-5...i donīt think of winning the title with this team, cause it would be too unrealistic ,but i think fighting for play-off spot will be thinkable. Also,i play Derozan as sg,should i play him as SF like listed in the game?im quite happy with Prince so far.

Its the same strategy my friend. I say play Derozan where the mismatch is. If he can dominate the opposing 3, play him there. If the opposing 2 is garbage play him there. But wherever you play him GO TO THE CUP, get fouled.

Sometimes you just wont be able to catch up

Gotta get used to the dribble stick, you dont have to do "And 1" moves to get by a defender, sometimes it just takes a simple hesitation. Look for open lanes and even if a defender seems to be in the way go for the layup, you'll get the call more often then you get the charge

Re: Official NBA2K13 Association Thread

I just started a franchise with the BK Nets, pulled out a close win against the Kicks in my first game. D Will had 31 pts and 12 ast while Johnson had a horrible shooting night. After the game i traded Jerry Stackhouse to the Kings for a 2nd round pick i also want another backup PG because i don't like CJ Watson handle but i will wait a few games to see how he performs before i make a move. My next game is against the raptors which should be easy

Game 11 vs. Indiana Pacers:
The Celtics won this game by a score of 95-93 at the buzzer, but by an unlikely hero! Courtney Lee in for his defense in the last 40 seconds of a close game decided it was his turn to be hero for once. down by 3, Pacers had the ball with 40 seconds left, Lee made the massive block on Granger (He was in for Defense on Granger who was playing great). After the block he went all the way for the dunk over Augustin. 30 seconds left , David West scored so it was on Boston, 93-92 Pacers. The ball was sent in to Amare who missed his attack to the basket, Green gets the offensive rebound and kicks it to Rondo who swings it all the way around the arc to Lee who nailed the three pointer at the buzzer to give Boston win. Rondo was the player of the game for Boston scoring 16pts 16ast, while Granger put up 26pts in the loss for Indiana. The Celtics scoring was very spread out this game, here are the stats:

Martin - 17pts 2ast 1stl
Rondo - 16pts 16ast 3reb 2stl
Lee - 14pts 1blk
Stoudemire - 12pts 5reb 1blk
Battier - 10pts 4reb 2ast
Green - 10pts 5reb 1stl
Sullinger - 8pts 2reb 1stl 1blk

Granger - 26pts 3reb 3ast
West - 15pts 7reb
G.Green - 13pts
George - 12pts 5reb 4ast 1stl 1blk
Augustin - 7pts 11ast

- The Celtics will play the surprise 8-3 Pistons next as they only have 3 games left to the season.

Game 12 vs. Detroit Pistons:
The Pistons may have signed Chris Paul in the offseason but couldn't compete against the Celtics who improved to 11-1 with the 105-87 blowout win. Amare Stoudemire was the leading scorer with 21pts and Martin put up 20pts in the win. Rajon Rondo racked up 19 assists to go along with 10 points, and continues to improve on last season where he was named MVP. The Pistons had 5 players in double figures including leading scorer Chris Paul who put up 16pts, and Stuckey who dropped 14pts in the loss. Here are some stats:

Stoudemire - 21pts 2reb
Martin - 20pts 3reb
Lee - 16pts 2reb 2ast 1blk
Sullinger - 14pts 3reb 2blk
Battier - 11pts 5reb 5ast 1stl
Rondo - 10pts 19ast 1stl
Green - 8pts 2reb 1stl
Melo - 3pts 4reb 2blk

Paul - 16pts 3ast
Stuckey - 14pts 4ast 4reb 1stl
English - 13pts
Monroe - 10pts 7reb
Bass - 10pts 4reb 2blk
Prince - 9pts 5reb 3ast 1stl

- The Celtics have 2 games left to the season vs. Charlotte and then Washington as they look to go into the playoffs on a high note.
