NBA 2K12 Association Free Agency Broken?

I have simmed a lot of Association's and i've noticed that 2K needs to update/patch the Free Agency period in the offseason.

Problems:

* On day 13, the cpu automatically (randomly) signs players to fill roster

* I believe they sign players based of team (position) needs

* if they have the CAP room they will sign a starter and have him as 6th man (Ex: Bucks sign Jeremy Lin and he is a 6th man to Brandon Jennings/Cleveland Cavaliers sign Chris Paul, Kyrie still starts but moves over to the 2).

* Also they need to change the personality and add an option to a player if they are loyal or they like to test FA.

There's already loyalty attribute in the game.
Everything else - 2K need to overhaul the association completely, it's been the same for many years now.

My biggest problem with the Free Agency is contract extensions during the season.

I have Paul George and Derrick Favors in one of my franchises. They're going to be my franchise moving forward, so I want to get them both locked up long term. When I go to contract extensions, they both say:

"I really want to see what my worth is out on the open market," so they won't let me offer a contract extension.

My BIG Problem with this is that I am willing to offer both guys MAX deals, so how would there worth be any greater than what I am ready to give them. I understand keeping options open, but if their primary interest is money, I should be able to offer a contract to see if they'd like to put the pen to the paper rather than hit FA.

Yea, guys like Grant Hill/Nash always sign to a cheap 1-year extension or retire. Goran Dragic always signs to a cheap 5-year deal which makes no sense for him to do that b/c they have Lowry. Speights signs a 7-year deal for cheap, again makes no sense b/c bigman that can play 4 or 5 are in demand.

If you want an acc. Off Season you will need to control all the teams. It SUCKS but thats the only way...

I've learned this the hard way. The AI has no idea what its doing when it has to manage a team. It's obvious from the dumb trades they offer you, and the bad trades they will take from you. Let alone once you get into that second season. For example, in the finals I played against OKC. Their 6th man was Nate Robinson (I started the assoc. well before the smaller detailed roster updates came out) but they liked to sub him in after about 5 minutes, and Westbrook would go to the bench no less. Often I'd have the much, much taller Joe Johnson post up on his small *** and Joe had a huge series. They resigned the guy and kept him as 6th man! Though in the second year, they play Westbrook normal superstar level minutes now.

Denver in this 2nd year likes to sub in a rookie for Gallo after about five minutes in the first quarter. Then they sub in Corey Brewer, and Gallo doesn't come back till the start of the second quarter. Furthermore, they've allowed a child onto their roster, and given him the 6th Man (even though hes not a man) role. I'm referring of course to Earl Boykins. Yes, Earl Boykins, thanks to his ridiculously laughable high overall considering his IRL stature, is a key component to these Nuggets, and apparently moreso than Gallo.

Better yet, Deron was glad to sign a huge extension with the crummy Nets. Howard stayed in Orlando as well. D-Wade and Lebron's shoes got messed up sometime between the previous year and the 2nd, as their shoes are pure, blinding white. Ah, and stats that pop up in game that refer to the year averages are messed up. I get told that I'm averaging 14 steals a game, 7 more than the second place team, 60 rebounds per game, etc. That bug occurs sometime late into the first year and doesn't fix itself when the 2nd year starts. It just compounds itself.
