any tips to beat 1-3-1 zone defense

This is driving me crazy because I cannot drive into the paint and I was beat with 3 streaks by 1-3-1. Anybody has tips to break it?

Spread the floor penetrate and kick to open shooters feed post and kick accordingly to the coming to double team

pray your shooters are hot. if you are cold with your jumpers its gonna be a game.

What about when you have someone open on the corner and you try to keep them in the corner and pass the ball to them but they still insist on cutting to the basket and the defense tips it?

The downfall to the speading the floor against the zone this year is a lot of times your guy will still automatically cut to the basket even when he's open causing turnovers. That along with the animated and slow passes makes it kind of difficult sometimes.

Yes I tried to penetrate and kick out to my shooters but unfortunately they were cold and their shots didn't went in when they were open. Any other ways other than kick out to open jumpers?

I like to call a play where one of my bigs starts out at the high post. I get the ball to them and the defense collapses. Then it's just a matter of finding the open cutter or shooter.

If they're really aggressive at closing out on shooters, just pump fake and do a one dribble pull-up.

1-3-1 zone is terrible against corner threes or corner shots for that matter, if you want your opponent to change get your best shooters in the corner and they will have uncontested jumpers all game

have your wide open shooters make outside shots and 3 pointers....cant use 1-3-1 against good shooting teams
