Agreed this team was the best Pacer team of Reggie's era, was the only team to beat the Bulls twice during the regular season that year then pushed them to a grueling 7 game series one that Pippen even said after the game that the Bulls were lucky to get out of this series. Pacers would have probably been favorites in the finals that year had they beaten the Bulls. This Pacer team won 58 regular season games which was the most of any Pacer team ever (94-95 team had 52 wins, 99-00 team had 56 wins).

you're right about those heat team. they weren't the best on defense but rice and smith would be fun to play with.

Re: Top Missing Teams from the NBA's Greatest Mode

1987-1988 Dallas Mavericks

A very deep and talented team that gave the Hall-of-Fame lineup of the Lakers all it could handle, falling in the Western Conference Finals in seven games. The Mavericks had a pair of All-Stars on the frontline in 25ppg scorer Mark Aguirre and center James Donaldson, along with Sam Perkins. A solid backcourt of Derek Harper and Rolando Blackman supplemented Aguirre’s scoring. The Mavericks featured a deep bench, including the talented Sixth Man of the Year Roy Tarpley, Brad Davis and Detlef Schrempf. It would be interesting to see this team take on the defending champion Mavericks and Dirk Nowitzki.

Starters: PG-Derek Harper, SG-Rolando Blackman, SF-Mark Aguirre, PF-Sam Perkins, C-James Donaldson
Bench Rotation: Brad Davis, Detlef Schrempf, Roy Tarpley

Add this team i'll cough up the extra dough...

Tarpley was a beast off the bench and JD was arguably one of the most uderated C's in the West back then actually made a All-Star team once....he did a lot of the dirty work for that team.

And Aguirre might have had attitude problem but the dude could flat out score...

This team back in their day was awesome they just couldn't get by those Lakers

I remember the Reunion Rowdy's going crazy at Mavs home games...i hated the only time i could see them was during the playoffs back in those years CBS never showcased them that much during the regular season.

They were getting so many 1st round picks for being a expansion team at one point they had guys like Dale Ellis and Jay Vincent glued to the bench because they couldn't find minutes for them...had to trade some of those guys away
