80 is a bit harsh for Bosh though he should at least be 84-85 something like that

Hmmm I'll be playing this and MyPlayer the moment I get out of bootcamp .

I'm thinking Tyreke Evans will develop a jumpshot, John Wall will become the vest Point Guard in the NBA (and one of the best players) or DeMar Derozan will turn Toronto into a title contender, James Harden (FEAR THE BEARD) will be a superstar somewhere else (sorry OKC but the Beard must be set free!), Paul George will be the greatest Pacer of all time, and just for good measure I'll tweak Tracy McGrady a little bit and make him about a year or two younger and finish his career strong (championship baby )

Yeah, it's not the most important mode in the game, but I had fun with the Jordan My Player in 2K11 and I think it would be fun to try and take John Wall or Javale McGee and turn them into a true superstar, as I am a Wizards fan.

Don't really see why people are complaining. This mode appeals to more casual gamers, and I love the way 2K goes about getting casual fans as opposed to EA where they try and completely dumb down all the important aspects of the game that the hardcore enjoy.

Yet another reason to applaud 2K! Bring on that Online Insight though! Can't wait! (Bart Scott Voice)

And for the record, I despise LeBron James more than any athlete in the world and whoever said he is one of the best dunkers of all-time is wrong. He's is one of the greatest finishers of all-time, but very generic in his dunking if that makes sense.

With that said, and I HATE saying it, he does deserve the 98 rating. I mean where should he be then if not 98? No lower than 96.. He is the most complete player in the game despite his flaws as a clutch performer.

To all the lebron haters. Yall are funny complaining about his overall rating. You say he doesn't deserve a 98. Well let's see what might got him there(estimate ratings) . Inside and close shots-90 or higher, mid-80-85, 3pt-75, layups/dunking-95 or higher, passing-95 or higher, dribbling-90 or higher, steals-85 or higher, blocks-75 or higher, rebounding-80 or higher, def awareness -90 or higher, off awareness-95 or higher, speed-90 or higher, quickness-90 or higher. OK I'm done proving my point so I don't think I have to list anymore ratings to show you that lebron does deserve a 98. The man is a beast stop the hate

Even better than McGrady..alot of you probably dont remember just how good Grant Hill was in the late 90s before he got hurt. People in the small NBA circles were comparing his drive & talent to His Airness #23. Dont believe me, just got watch some of his Pistons youtube clips....

You guys have to remember that ratings on a video game = talent, mostly physical. Just because LeBron is a 98 doesn't mean he's the best shooter in the game. It's all about how you play with the player.

For example, Monta Ellis isn't a true PG. He's basically an athletic combo guard. I used the Warriors in an online franchise and I ended up trading Steph Curry (Couldn't get his form down) and others around the league until I ended up getting Steve Nash (I eventually ended up trading back Nash for Curry) Steve Nash or Steph didn't work for me at first because, though they were great shooters, I couldn't use them because I was more used to using an athletically dominant player (Chris Paul is my favorite PG, and of course being from Chicago I like D. Rose). Nash or Steph didn't have the athletic ability to play PG in my style of play (until I basically slowed it down and learned the Warriors' offense) but Monta Ellis did. He's one of the quickest players in the game, because of his attributes and ISO moves, so I was able to abuse guys from mid-range. I had Nate Robinson as my 2, and I still had David Lee in the post, so I effectively restored a run and gun offense back in Golden State.

Also, in the same league, a guy was wheeling and dealing (also manipulating guys lol) and basically somehow ended up with Carmelo Anthony, Paul Pierce, and a couple other guys I can't remember, but his best player was some guy from Houston who was extremely fast. No player could keep up with him, so he was able to hit mid range jumpers with him a lot.

My point is, the ratings are generally the physical makeup of a player. Kobe was one of the best in the game last year, but he had that weird shooting form, so unless you knew how to use him, as well as the triangle offense, it was very easy to be ineffective with the Lakers. LeBron should and WILL be the best rated player in the game (Derrick Rose should be up there too) simply because physical ratings (Speed, jumping, etc.) drive overall ratings - from my understanding, based off of how typical sports ratings work. It's the reason why you could drop a guys speed as low as it could go, and max out everything else, and his rating would drastically change.

But, I don't do research on ratings and how they affect the game specifically, so maybe someone knows more about this.
