When u play 2k do u want to play real or go for broke?

Do you prefer to play as close to real life or go for broke win at all costs?

I'm going to put myself in the best position to win the game. If I know that a few plays or certain animations are more successful for me, then I have no problem going with that and ignoring what player x would have done in real life.

exactly, i wont cheat but i have no problems taking advantage of mismatches to win a game

See, I'm the type of player that wants it to be real in any way possible. I enjoy the game more when I see things that I would see IRL. I've lost games and enjoyed myself because every aspect of the game was on point. I like to win, but I'd rather do it realistically. For example if I know I can score every time I do a hop-step...I'm not gonna continually do it because I know that's not real ball.

It all depends on my opponent. If I feel he's playing sincerely, I will too. But if he brings out the BS, well then it's game on.

I can't remember the last time I hop stepped...

That move has been banned from my arsenal for the simple fact that it is too fake for my likings...

I play sim ball to the death... If I lose I lose... and I win about 90% of my games..

but I will never resort to cheese and I rarely have to....

loyalty is a beautiful thing...

I still use my grizzlies against top teams even with Rudy Gay and I continue to beast...

The fact that my Grizzlies are doing the exact same thing IRL makes it just as good

I play real, but I play hard. I'm never going to abuse any exploits or perform any other cheese tricks on purpose, but I'm not going to sit around all day jacking up long jumpers if they're not going in, if that's somebody's definition of "real". I define "real" as in anything an NBA team could conceivably do if they were in the same situation during a game.

That means I'm going to try and take whatever the defense is giving me, but always in a realistic fashion, of course. No passing into the paint if there are 4 defenders in there and the passing lane is crowded, no running all over the court with a player doing all sorts of BS isomotion moves, etc.
