Living Rosters retrieval taking upwards of one minute to load?

I've always had a slight issue (if you wanna call it that) where the in-game soundtrack will pause for a couple seconds right before the main menu loads when the game gives you the message that it's either retrieving or loading the living rosters.

Yesterday though (and it's been this way ever since), the game seems to pause for upwards of one minute with no music or movement from anything. I can't even bring the Xbox Guide up. Anyone experiencing it for the first time would think that the game is frozen but it does eventually go through.

Is anyone else having this issue?

Yeah. I've gotten this loading the game, on the 2k beats playlist, after quitting an association and returning to the menu. No idea why or how to fix it.
