Why does the guy I'm passing to run away from the ball 75% of the time?

I throw it to the dude and it starts this animation where he runs into the paint and it always gets stolen.

Also another pet peeve is when I'm stuck with the ball in the corner or on the wing with no dribble and no teammate comes to get the ball from me.

This is ridiculous.

Anyone have experiences like this.

Are you using direct (icon) pass? If you bring up the icons, and press towards the receiver, he will be lead that direction, thus running away from passes or cutting towards the basket on the pass. When you use Icon passing it's best to nuetral the stick for a split second before the pass is thrown so it goes right to them instead of leading them.
