HOW TO build a team?

In franchise what is the best position to build a team around. In my association I have a lot of solid/good players but I don't know who to build the team around.

Probably C or PF. You could dominate the paint. Once you have a good C or PF find some good outside shooters.

I was all about the perimeter until I played with randolph and holy lord. I have thus fallen in love with the inside game. for me a good center and I'm all set, but each piece work in conjunction with the other. if I could have a good center and a good outside shooter when my center gets doubled I'd be in heaven. It really is a matter of play style.

yea definetely this. i play a more fast-paced style, so i like to build around a guard or sometimes small forward. my most succesful associations have been like this:

PG Quick, passing pg
SG Outside shooter
SF Stud(KD)
PF Physical, defensive
C Rebounding, defensive

when I build a run n gun team I try to find all players with high athleticisms. I want to be able to have every player in my top 5 run the floor.

I had an insanely fast team in one association and we would put up 120 when I played routinely, but my sf and sg were draft pick all stars. one was a second team all nba as a rookie

It depends on more of your style then what other people do.

I always build around a pg. Im not a great post player in 2k. Ive learned over the past few weeks that I can't have just any pg either. Im a big Westbrook and Rondo fan but they don't fit my system as well as say Steph Curry.

Re: HOW TO build a team?

I think you just stick with the BPA (best player available) theory and build your team around the best player available, or already on your team. Of course, identifying the BPA is another thing in itself.

Trying to build your team around a C has been the demise of many a franchise (check the NBA draft history site).
