OS, Austin Daye FTW

IMO, he's the best player that people don't talk about on this game. A 6'11 SF who can shoot lights out & if developed properly is unstoppable.

I traded for him in my Wizards dynasty and he's def. going to become a star

who else uses him?

Re: OS, Austin Daye FTW

I play my season with the Pistons and he's not part of my rotation. I can't stand him, and it's no wonder he doesn't play much in real life. Yeah, I let my feelings influence my virtual world basketball...haha.

The Pistons had visions of him becoming TP 2.0, but he's got a long way to go.

He's getting about 14 minutes for me. Similar to real life, it's tough to find minutes for all the players on the Pistons roster. Someone has to be the odd man out each game. Daye doesn't bring a whole lot for me at this point. Not much of a presence at the four and not up to par with Tayshaun or perhaps even McGrady at the three.

Re: OS, Austin Daye FTW

I play pistons franchise and Daye is anchored to my bench. He is a turnstile on D. a real patsy

I traded for Pat mills when stuckey tore his acl and is out for a year ... Patty mills is a beast. I'm averaging 23 pts and 4 assists with him, and that is mainly using him as a 2 guard.

He runs off screens and is money, he camps in the corners and all I need to do is drive into the paint with Tmac or livingston (another trade I made) and dish it to mills for the open 3.

he's shooting .461FG% and .455 3pt% ...

Re: OS, Austin Daye FTW

kinda funny that he really made it to the league.
i was on scholarship for a d1 in his area. low mid major d1 team.
he came down to play open gym w/ us once. he was a senior in highschool back then, got a lot of hype and big time schools recruiting him as well.
he got blocked on almost every shot. no d at all. but that wasnt all...
ill never forget that. there was a turnover and he leaked out early, got the ball, nobody hustled back so he was all by himself, every1 thought he was just gonna dunk the ball or lay it up, but he decides to do a reverse layup and misses it real bad (got blocked by the rim)
i could tell the boy was about to cry... he was so embarrassed... after the game was over, he just bounced. didnt say bye to anyone and even forgot his damn shoes.
lookin back at how much he improved since then i m really impressed. most of us are now playin overseas or not at all. he in the league now...
just sayin dont ever underestimate the potential of a highschool kid!

I sure hope that he continues to develop for us, because right now in real life, he isn't looking even close to what the Pistons thought they were drafting. At the time, some were considering him kind of the "steal" of the draft (just like Rodney Stuckey, who also isn't developing properly), granted Daye is playing out of position at the 4 spot, but I just don't see his game developing the way it should be at all.

I don't get much out of Austin Daye in 2K myself.
