Double clutch layup? WTF

Alone under the basket and i can't even get my guy to go up strong? Is there a way to do this? I'm sick and tired of seeing guys like Noah double clutching the ball and then going up for a weak layup.

I agree and have mentioned this in other threads. To me, it's one of the game's biggest failings biggest it makes a tough game much tougher, and mostly artificially, too. The most frustrating thing in the game by far, since most of the time it makes no ****ing sense why they don't just go up strong like they would in real life 99% of the time.

Kills field goal percentages, too.

Some have suggested to only use the basic layups and not use the L2 modifier. I am having better success but it is still a problem.

I especially hate the animation where they bring the ball down to their shoestrings for no damn reason other than to have it blocked.

hell yeah it pisses me off also. I yell at the the game because Shaq is going up with a weak as lay up he can't even do in real life.
