For the 100000000000000000000000th time (or even more) - Barkley didn't want to be in the game. Please people, please! Stop with this "Why no '93 Suns, why?!?!?!" You're starting to sound like me with the "Why no socks with calf sleeves? Why??!!".

Barkley can't possibly pay off his gambling debts with the meager offers 2k sports was giving him. He says, "video games are beneath me, and if they can't cover the spread for me in the playoffs, I want nothing to do with em."

That was one of the challenges I was looking forward. And I really wanted to play with Charles Barkley very badly. Was pretty disappointed he was not in the game.

How do we know this is the case? Was there an article somewhere about it or something? I've heard it mentioned many times, but never with an actual source. Hell, if Bird, Isiaiah and everybody else agreed, I find it hard to believe Barkley flat out said no.

How do we know Barkley said no?

MJ and barkley have had there on deals to be in games since the mids 90's. Bird , magic and etc are part of the retired players uni. That means when some buy that lic those players get what ever they signed up for. I learned this 5-6 yrs ago with the whole retro uni craz started. And some player were not happy not getting much when there unis were selling alot more then others.

Also the team and events were picked by MJ. Maybe he didnt think the suns series was up there for him.
