Anyone else struggling with passing?

I find that the computer A.I. is very advanced and is picking off passes and jumping into passing lanes way more than in previous games. I'm even having trouble throwing simple entry passes to the post. So many are getting tipped and even picked off. Pick and rolls can be tirelessly difficult because of this too.

The passing animations I am getting are also pretty lazy.

Anyone know how to fix this?
Is there a way to force a quick bounce pass into the post? (big man posting up etc.)
Are there sliders that have a noticeable effect on lowering how aggressive the defense will play in the passing lanes?
Can I make them not see into the future so successfully?

If I missed a thread already discussing this I apologize for creating this and please link me to that thread.

Thanks,

Yeah there is a thread...can Da Czar make a video on passing? I think it's really just bad habits.

You really have to put yourself in position for the pass. When running plays you cannot just follow the A/X button and expect it to connect. Get in a better position to make the pass. Some of the picks do seem a little scripted to me. Almost like there in slow motion. Good example if your the PG and trying to throw it in the post from the top of the key, try going towards the base line before you pass it.

Use lots of lead passing AWAY from the basket and the defense.

Be a little less predictable. Make an extra pass or two on the perimeter before you try any entry passes and don't forget about the pass fake button. Watch your defenders - if the CPU is half-fronting your post player, they'll deflect the pass more often than not.

It's because the pass ratings for anyone that isn't a PG are so low so they make stupid choices of passes and don't vary them much. Most players have below 40 passing which leads them to making stupid overhead passes more often than not..

This sums it up beautifully. Take this person's advice. /Thread
