I traded Beasley for Kendrick Perkins since we had no centres over 60. I also acquired Channing Frye (who is on a TERRIBLE contract) in a complex trade and halfway through the season I manage to trade Frye for a disgruntled Greg Oden!

Someone justify to me why the AI made this trade. Oden was very unhappy, but seriously... It only cleared the Blazers 2m a year in cap space, they lose their best centre and have to have Channing Frye.

What's the world come to?
I think everyone ditches Beasley (and rightly so - Love is a better all-round player in game)

Looked at moving for Oden but (after having to start the association again) opted for Bogut who is immense at both ends.

Flynn is massively underperforming for me so his minutes have been cut slightly with Ridnour getting more time each game. He's lethal from the 3.

Managed to push the team to 12th overall offensively...only small issue is we're 30th defensively and boy does it show...

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I'm two games away from winning eastern finals then going onto nba finals to more than likely face the Nuggets.

Offseason will be interesting as I need a new backup SF(Aminu doesn't want to resign cause he isn't playing enough, though when you got AI playing 35+ mins a game and averaging over 20+ points a game, no need for Aminu) and I got to draft someone but I really dont know which position to draft for:

C I got Biedrins who is a top rebounder right now, my last year 1st pick who has A+ potential,

PF-Green is my starting PF and Hill is backup, I dont see any problem with those two so dont believe I need someone else behind them

SF-I got AI and Batum(though I have Batum as my 3rd SF who plays 2-3 mins a game)

SG-I got Martin and Fernandez who are good enough at SG so I dont need a replacement

PG-D.Williams is my starting PG and is basically averaging a double double with over 20 points too, Maynor is my backup with Gibson as 3rd PG)

What position should I draft then?

Anyways, I'm 0-7 with the Knicks. Couldn't even beat the Wizards last night. But after a game against the Nuggets I've got Detroit and I think we have a chance against them haha. I need Nate Robinson, Randolph, and Gallo to go off.

Decided against getting Randolph. Decided to sign Danilo Gallinari instead.

since the wizards sucked last year thier picks mean more so it kind of like it has a 4 star value. i know these trades wouldnt go through but i used trade finder but in trade finder they wanted to much so i just ook out the extra stuff.
These are the type of trades that make me shake my head a bit. The type of trade that have been all over OS lately. In these deals, the Wizards acquire the best player in each deal (in my opinion) without sacrificing a first round pick (yes, they trade a first rounder but they also acquire one so its a wash). Eliminate the Wizards receiving a 1st rounder in return and each deal at least would seem plausible.

Granted, people can do as they choose. Its their game. But if you are looking for realism (and a competitive league), some thought should go into the motivation for all teams involved in a trade. You can almost bet that if the Wizards are somehow able to rid themselves of Gilbert's contract this season, a 1st round pick will be going out of Washington, not coming in (if picks are involved). Same in a deal of Smith. If you are going to trade your spare parts for a star or above average player, most likely a top pick will be headed out from your team, not coming in. Moving up or down in the draft isn't enough motivation (in most cases). Would the Hawks deal Smith? Who knows. A couple of years ago who would anyone have guessed that C. Paul and C. Anthony the topic of trade speculation. But they probably are not going to part with a 1st rounder in order to do so.

As they say, it's better to "over-pay" then to just take advantage of the flawed A.I. Also, over-paying a bit for the sake of your association prevents teams from being able to make multiple one-sided deals since eventually you are going to run out of trade pieces.

Just my $.02 and some thoughts that keep running through my mind on over half of the reported trades.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

I just had probably the most fun game I've ever played on any basketball game before. I had my 11 winning streak on the line going up against the Lakers. Kobe was beastly to start the game, scoring 22 points in the first half. But I had the lead at half time, 54-53. Third quarter, they went on a run to get a 13 point lead but after they took Kobe out, I went on a run to leave the game tied after 3. Fourth quarter, I would jump out to a five point lead and would never let go, winning the game 111-107. Great game. I have no idea how I held off the Lakers. Deron finished with 31 and 19, Millsap was big with 22 and Jefferson was huge with 18 points on 9-9 shooting and 9 rebounds.

My record now stands at 13-4, riding a 12 game winning streak.

Yea there is no way you could land those guys for YI and Kapono and a 1st. And that's pretty easy to prove. The trade logic is pretty much the same through our games. All you have to do is resign as a GM for your team and select the team, in the case the wizards, and try the same trades. I'm sure if some us of do it we all come up with the same results. And trading no one outside of wall would land you any of those guys.

Edit: So i tried all the trades that you said you attempted. And the only one that was accepted was the first one Arenas for Andre I. The one for Smith there is on way you pulled that w/o override and when i go to the trade finder, they always ask for Wall or Andre. Wait a minute....., dude i have to apologize and also recommend they fire the hawks GM. So i go trade finder and select YI, Hinrich and Mcgee, just to see what offer i would get and hawks offered Smith and Marvin Williams but the also added that i include a 1st rounder but still. But i still say adding Kapono get you none of those guys. But let me just mention a few guy I'm bing offered w/ the those same three: GS Ellis, SA:Parker, Hou: Martin, Tor Bargnani, Den Lawson, LAL Bynum, UTH Jefferson, MEM Gay, BOS Allen and Davis, Mil: Bogut. Wow amazing, but again with just YI, Kapono and a 1st no way you getting the people i mention before. But i see that you can get some good talent with your roster. Come on mitch you can't trade Bynum
