do you think i did to much by trading away emeka and west want to run an uptempo offense
I think randolph at center could be an issue only in that he dens't have the weight to really keep centers from backing him down, plus I like him at opf jus tto come from the backside for swats. However, I have a mancrush on him in the biggest way

also how the hell did you get josh smith, randolph, douglas(great 3 pt shooter excellent back up pg) and melo?

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Decided to restart my Nets franchise. Pulled off an 8-point win against the Pistons. Lopez and Harris were monsters for me, and Favors and Murphy provided great rebounding.

But, after this game and watching the Nets-Bobcats game IRL, I decided to trade Outlaw. I ended up sending him and some picks to Portland for Rudy Fernandez and Joel Pryzbilla. I heard Rudy wanted out so I wanted to go after him. My roster is like this:

Harris/Farmar/Uzoh(D-League)
Morrow/Fernandez
T. Williams/D. James/Graham
Murphy/Favors/Humphries/Smith(I.R.)
Lopez/Pryzbilla/Petro(I.R.)

You can't just blanketly say something would not go through without providing any logic to base your claims.
I think it's unrealistic because Mayo is a franchise player and the two guys you gave up for him are mediocre role players... There's NO WAY the Grizzlies would ever do that trade in real life. Just my opinion.

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Bulls (Me) get:

Melo

76ers get:

Deng
1st Rounder
James Johnson

Nuggets get:

Iguodala
1st Rounder
Boozer (or Gibson)

I'll admit....IF I did decide to do this trade, only way to pull it off is to trade override it because Melo is almost impossible to trade for (at least with the Bulls) because the only players they ask for in return are superstars and frankly in real life, I highly doubt that will happen.

However, I wouldn't feel as bad doing it if it was a fair trade and its something I feel would happen in real life. That is where you guys come in....thoughts?

Re: How's Your Association Going? (2K11)

Miami Heat Year 1

82 games (I will play each and every one of them)

12 minutes pro/custom JD's Sliders/default out of the box rosters

Real FG/FT%

Record 19-10

The Heat Rally back from a 10 point first half deficit aganst the NY Knicks in Madison Square Garden. Dwayne Wade led all scorers with 32 points scoring 22 of those in the second half. Lebron James finished up with 24 points 10 boards and 6 assists. Chris Bosh had a monster game on the glass with 15 boards and 16 points. Mike Miller continues to shine off the bench dropping in 14 points. Amare was big for the Knicks pouring in 28 points and pulling down 12 boards. Chalmers 5 points and 7 dimes, Big Z 4 points and 8 boards, Haslem 5 boards. Joel Anthony was benched 5 minutes into the game as he was being schooled out of the gate and was a bad match-up with the Knicks front line, Big Z and Maglore were rotating at C for this game.

After being down 10 points at the half the Heat put the clamps on the Knicks with tough intense defense and that was the difference. We held NY to only 35 second half points after giving up 52 first half points. We also forced 12 second half turnovers after the Knicks only had 3 in the first half.

Final score:

Miami 98

New York 87

With the Hornets struggling in my association, and also losing Emeka Okafor early on to a broken foot for 8 weeks...Made a 3-team deal to try and salvage the Hornets season, and also help out a couple of other teams in the process; who either needed to clear cap space or add a piece to the puzzle.

Hornets are 5-15 and in the cellar in the west through the 1st week of December. They are really down, but not out and have recently lost a string of close games; mainly due to trotting out Aaron Gray out at the starting 5, and dealing w/ injuries and a lack of depth in the frontcourt.

Pistons have started 6-15 and lack a great deal of chemistry. They've got some young guys who need minutes, but some vets w/ big contracts that are blocking their way.

The Bobcats are 12-9 and playing great D, but are lacking scoring as they sit 3rd worst in the league in PPG. Their defense has propeled them so far, but adding some offensive punch will greatly help them move from 8th in the east (and one in done in the 1st round) to a possible 2nd rd playoff push.

THE DEAL:

Hornets Get: Ben Wallace (DET), Charlie Villanueva (DET), and Jason Maxiell (DET).

Pistons Get: Peja (NO), Jason Smith (NO), 2011 1st & 2nd Rd picks (NO), SG Gerald Henderson (CHA), PF/C Kwame Brown (CHA), and a 2011 2nd Rd pick from Charlotte.

Bobcats Get: Rodney Stuckey.

Hornets get Big Ben who can start at center till Okafor comes back, and add two big men that are MUCH needed since the Hornets lack frontcourt depth.

Pistons get a $13 mil expiring contract in Peja, another deal that expires w/ Jason Smith ($2+ mil), two 2nd rd picks, & a 1st Rd Nawlins pick (which could still be a lotto pick if this deal doesn't work out for Nawlins).

Coming from Charlotte, Detroit gets SG Gerald Henderson who seems to fit better on a Detroit team that isn't going anywhere, and backup Kwame Brown reunites with Detroit.

Altogether Detroit will have $29 mil in cap space to use in the offseason. Do they go after Melo? The guy they should've drafted over Darko? Who knows. But now they have the cap room to do so. They will also be able to get solid minutes for rookie Center Gregg Monroe, and youngsters Austin Daye, DeJuan Summers, and Will Bynum. Jonas Jerebko is out for another couple of weeks with an injury, but he will continue to see consistent minutes too.

As for Charlotte, they get Rodney Stucky for next to nothing. The Pistons couldn't leverage anymore because teams know that they didn't want to re-sign Stuckey longterm. So Detroit cuts their losses, and moves Stuckey for Henderson and Brown and a CHA 2nd rounder.

Now Charlotte will have to decide if THEY want to sign Stuckey for big money longterm. Stuckey is averaging 18.5 ppg while shooting 44% from the field, but DJ Augustin has been playing solid ball too. Bobcats coach Larry Brown has stated that "Rodney will come off the bench to start, but will still see at least 30 minutes a night". Shaun Livingston has really struggled, and he would be no threat to steal any minutes away from Stuckey. Charlotte will be running w/ a 9-man rotation with Tyrus Thomas, Stuckey, Diop, and Najera getting all the backup minutes.

Thoughts?
I think your trades are very realistic and possible if it for your inclusion of Maxiell. You are taking their their three top big men(yes i know they have Monroe), just for cap relief. Even though their season is on a freefall I don't think they would trade Maxiel, b/c he is a decent 4 and he is pretty cheap starter. Replacing Maxiell with Wilcox in the trade would be more realistic. By the way that Stuckey trade i could really see happening.

And the guys with Hornets whose lineup is Paul, Ariza, Melo, Anthony..etc...You wanted thoughts? Okay, your team is would never realistically exist. Oh and even with your team how it is, you still aren't beating LA(whose stopping Gasol and Bynum), Portland(very underrated team), Utah(D. Will wil go off and you lack size for rebounding and keeping Jefferson and Milsalip(even though he's 6'7, he's a beast) out of the paint), MIA(enough said) or Orlando(you lack kryptonite).
