Live Legend Needs Help

This is it. I just can't do it anymore. I have resisted and resisted and resisted the 2k hype. I have been an NBA Live DIEHARD fan since 1995. The last few years, I have been ranked in the top 100, and in Live 10 I was ranked as high as 6 on the leaderboards. So giving up on a game that I have mastered is a hard, hard choice. But what other choice do I have? Ya'll have played the Elite demo, right? I downloaded it in the early morning hours last Tuesday... I should have stayed in bed.

Although I normally play the 2k demo and write it off immediately (because I don't know how to do anything), I decided to give 2k11 a chance. All I can say is WOW!!! I'm VERY impressed! What have I been missing? The game is definitely whack at first for someone who doesn't know how to use the controls, but after looking up how to do a few moves, I am amazed at how good this game looks. The controls don't seem to be as intuitive as Live 10: with all of the combinations of LT+LS+RS, etc., I sometimes feel like I'm trying to execute a fatality on Mortal Kombat!!! But, nevertheless, the payoff is BIG when you pull off moves in 2k!!!! And to play with Jordan's historic Bulls teams??? Wow, that a NICE, NICE cherry on top!

Does anyone have any tips for a noob like me? What works? What doesn't? What should I watch out for as far as online cheesers go? What are the weak spots of the game? Finally, are other 80's and 90's teams besides the Bulls going to be playable? If so, will they be playable online? Sorry if these questions are basic, as I just jumped on the bandwagon this week.

Any help or advice would be appreciated.

It answer part of your question there is " 20 " historic teams, though it's not really 20. It's like the bulls 84-98, then like the jazz ( Malone, and Stockton). Trailblazers ( Cylde dexler). Lakers ( Magic Johnson. ) Celtics ( Larry Bird. ) I don't know the years, but there is ALOT.

Read the insights to learn about game info.

As far as cheesers goes, 2K is usually infested w/ people who constantly drive the baseline, lead pass, and hopstep. Those were the three cheapest offensive tactics in 2k10. Hopefully, 2k11 will be cheeseproof.

Here you go man, this is the latest insight about their Association(Franchise mode). And after reading this if you scroll down to the bottom they link you to all the previous insights, too. Tells you all you need to know about the game.

You can make a game cheese proof by not cheesing. Did anybody ever think of that?

Re: Live Legend Needs Help

I too was a die-hard live fan. Grew up with it! but sad to say 2k is where its at! it beats elite/live in almost every aspect. trust me not a bad decision. Once you get the handle on the controls you'll love it too. just practice. check the forums, lots of good information here. Oh and i'm also new to the forums. dont post much but i do read lots. good luck have fun and enjoy OS. r u 360 or ps3? if you on 360 you can hit me up on xbl. GT: RDT RELLIK we can chat and what not and i could help you a lil bit with the 2k controls.
