Someone please help me with a post move???

Ok, so I finally figured out how to do Kobe's reverse pivot, but here's the move I can NOT figure out!

I take Kobe and put him about 15-18 feet away from the hoop and I'm posting him up (Holding RT and LT), but what I'm trying to then execute is a spin move out of the post up. So imagine he's dribbling with his right hand backing ray allen down, and then I want him to spin towards his right hip off of Ray ray. I have tried letting go of LT and just holding RT and pushing the joystick in that direction, and letting go of both triggers, but nothing works. When I try spinning the joystick or whatever, Kobe eventually just speed bursts away from Allen (probably because i'm holding RT). But regardless, can anyone help me?? Thanks!!!

Back down, and as soon as your back is leaned on ray, let go of the triggers. Kobe will still be in the post animation. Then push the left stick in the direction you want to spin off to, and tap LT. This should work if i'm thinking the same thing you're thinking

Sweet man thanks! I will try it out sometime! I haven't played a 2K game since 2K8, so i'm new to the controls.

To do the Pumpfake, spin/pivot move, the first step is simple obviously...just pumpfake. Then immediately after, hold the LT trigger down and push the left joystick away from the hoop (so his back is now facing the defender), once it's turned and he has pivoted, let go of LT and hold down RT and push in the direction of his non-pivot foot. He then will explode off his pivot foot, and then you could branch moves off this (LT and joystick left/right to cross back over, ex.)

It might be slow at first to get the positioning down of the joystick, but once you can do it fast, it's a really nice animation that creates good separation for a jumper or a drive to the hole. Play around with it and let me know if you can get it.

hold on, just to be clear, this is the move he did against the knicks right? the one that in 2k10 all you had to do was flick the right stick when you were in the right position, correct?
