OMG. You guys are going to start complaining about something that's NEVER been done in any video game now? Them coming straight off the bench has always been there. In the game(NBA2K, not the real NBA), they only go to the scorer's table in certain situations.

Re: NBA 2K11 Video: From the Demo at Gamescom

Is it just me, or does it look like the exact same game?
The lighting looks a little better, but the "improved presentation" looks exactly the same.
Id doesn't look like any gameplay improvements, but that is something that can be felt and not seen.

Its like Elite did so much work to improve the gameplay, that is something that will effect the awesomeness of the game, not Jordan. It just seems like 2k is putting out the same game with a few minor adjustments, and banking on Jordan to sell the game.

For the same reason why I won't buy Madden 11, its looking like that is going to be the case with 2k11. I refuse to buy the same game when I can just download updated rosters.

Yes, you can set action replays to 'occasional/often/never' in the Presentation options.

they only go to the scorers table if you manually sub players...i guess the complaint is why not let cpu controlled sub show the players go to the scorers table (which i agree)

Its not on casual. Ronnie 2K confirmed it is on the default gamerstyle.

Default Gamerstyle per Mike Wang in the "Making a Smarter Game" dev insight is as follows:

------Default
: Kind of a hyper-realism. Shooting %’s will be slightly higher than real life, there will be fewer fouls, slightly more dunks, more and 1’s, etc. “Let ‘em play hoops” so to speak.--------

In addition to the default gamerstyle, the game is likely on default settings. Usually for 2K that means the level is on Pro, or whatever level is equivalent to Pro.

Agree. I'll go a step further in that the game doesn't get credit for the steps it takes to get closer to real as it stands. The fact that as of this moment, people are complaining about the intricacies of Dirk's shot in certain situations amazes me. The level of detail this game pays attention to is pretty high. But once you crack a door, people want you to kick it in I guess. The commentary, signature system, and presentation as a whole are perfect examples where 2K outside all other sports games (in MY opinion), but still doesn't get the credit it deserves.

I agree it's a shortcoming. Maybe the AI doesn't run sub logic until the dead ball happens. It would make sense. But, again, I agree it's a shortcoming and I'd bet they are aware of it. But it's always been there and there are bigger fish to fry. It's only a slight annoyance, as is the interrupted commentary on big dunks. I'm just saying, don't paint this as some sign of incompetence as some people like to do.
