I've tried and tried to figure this out. From what I hear, it's not possible at the moment. Look for a fix in the upcoming patch, though, as it has been addressed.

I just made a thread that solves this very problem in 4 quick and easy steps. It's on the first page named "Offline Association Autosave Workaround (Xbox 360)".
