3 rounds in NBA draft? 17 man roster??

In a sim season, I selected a guy in the 3rd round altho the game said the draft was over....Instead of advancing I started to look at the players that were left over, as I browsed thru a option to "select" player was giving to me and of course I choosed the guy....During the rookie signing, I gad 3 guys on my list 1 that was selected on the 3rd round.....Glitch????

I filled ny roster up with 15 guys and sent the two 2nd and 3rd rounders to the Dleague but tgen I notice they dissappeared from my NBA roster(they did show up on the Dleague roster) Me being tge curious one, I went to see if I can sign another pkayer or two and guess what? Yes, it let me! Is this a glitch or some new rule???

Re: 3 rounds in NBA draft? 17 man roster??

Are you signing them to the d-league team?

In the real world the NBA and NBDL league are run seperately. So the D-League has authority over the other plays the add to the team. The NBA team can only send down players or sign players. They don't control which other players are signed.

I bet 2k expanded the rosters somehow to incorporate the D-League. Not how it works but what they had to do to make it work in the game. That is my guess Jukeman.

In the league the D-League players count against the 15 player limit, so if you're able to send down guys and still fill your roster out, that would seem like a glich.

Although, you'd think more people would have that sort of problem (lol, not to mention a 3 round draft). Are you sure you just didn't have 2 second round picks?

It sounds like the 3rd round draft pick was actually you signing an undrafted player. Each class has 90 (?) players and only 60 are drafted. Did you have an option to not select a player?

Its 80 in a class, Im positive that it was a glitch now...

The draft ended at the 60th pick but when the draft was over I was still ablr to select a player altho it didnt make me....On the guy's profile it said he was pick 3rd 7th pick...however 6 other guys were also picked in the "3rd" round(1-6)

as for the Dleague thing, I have mix feelings about this....The guys I placed in the dleague seem not to have their contracts added to my salary...Not 100% sure on that, but I put those guys in the Dleague for 10 years and they still was my property with their 2round rookie contracts...I never recieved the option to resign them or what ever...
