Icon6 When You Should/Shouldn't Use Turbo.

I don't want anyone associated with OS to not understand that you can't just hold the turbo button like you did in the past. Turbo conservation will be KEY in 2K10. So use this thread to share whe you feel turbo should and shouldn't be used.

I will start it off:

Offensive/Defensive transition is an instance in which you should be sprinting. ESPECIALLY defensive transition.

Re: When You Should/Shouldn't Use Turbo.

You should sprint to help on D, or to recover after helping.

You should sprint in "shoulder to shoulder" offensive situations. e.g. coming off of a screen without the ball. Using a pick properly. Just a burst to get clear, and cause the defense to compensate.

SHOULDN'T use turbo after the opposing team makes a basket.

I think like in real basketball there are times when you run fast, others where you don't go at full speed.

Here are some good times to use turbo:

Fast break (Offense/Defense)
Recovery on D
Getting open off the screen or pick
Closing out on an open shooter

Gotta watch it on that open shooter though. Better press that Y button from further out. You can put yourself on somebody's highlight reel if you over sprint on a close out.

Anyone watching the KonSoleKIngz stream should know how NOT to play in regards to Turbo usage

I'm just worried about fast break situations. I just want to see h it works...before I comment on it.

Playing passing lanes also necessitates turbo usage

When trying to get a first step past your defender on the perimeter, but slowing down when/if help comes.
