Going to play 2k10 on Thursday. What should I look for?

OS invited me to go to a 2k event on Thursday in DC where I will get to play three games: NBA2k10, NHL2k10 and a new baseball game. I will only be able to play the game for an hour or so but I wanted to know if there was anything that people think I should look for. Keep in mind, I wont be able to dig in to Franchise or anything more than Gameplay unless they decide to show off Franchise features.

I think I speak for a lot of people when I want to hear how the game feels. In terms of control, fluidity, and I think Pared said it best, the abundance of animations that have to "play out", therefore taking control away from you.

I know it's probably going to be hard to determine with just an hour to play, but that's my main issue right now.

Thank you in advance for taking all questions.

Well I guess control wise..is it much tighter this year? Call some plays to and see if players run to their positions...that's all I got..

Presentation stuff:

-Does commentary really sound improved?
-Stat Overlays?
-Replays? Are they exactly like last year, or do they happen at appropriate times?

Yep noob and ace hit my biggest concerns player control and plays that would be the two things I would look for.

And also if you can give some details on the help d also that would be great. Anything else you can lift out that impressed you would be good too.

Help Defense, rotations, and recovery

Authenticity of playbooks/sets, and do players run plays with a proper sense of urgency

Is the automatic positioning of players that take place in the Combine in 2K10?

Do this today: Instead of $%*#!@& on a game you're not going to play or movie you're not going to watch, say something good about a piece of media you're excited about.

Do the same thing tomorrow. And the next. Now do it forever.

Can't believe it took five posts for someone to say defense.

Take a look at the defensive rotation of the CPU and your AI teammates. Also the tendencies of the CPU, see if they run realistic plays and if the individual players play like themselves.

Re: Going to play 2k10 on Thursday. What should I look for?

1. General comments on player physics and movement. Is there ice-skating and sliding? Or will my player actual do what I want him to without delay? Are the suction animations still in the game especially on layups?

2. In 2k9 rebounds were not being counted off of blocked shots. This is one of the reasons why rebounding stats were low last year but the issue was overlooked or neglected. I noticed that in the draft combine, the same problem was happening as well and still hasn't been fixed. Has this / will this be fixed? Go for a block as quickly as possible then check the stats for a board...then complain please.
