Draft Classes (2001-2013) For Dom5552's 2000-2001 Roster

I figured by making a thread for this would raise the awareness for this project...
We are basically making an attempt to make the draft classes from 2001 all the way to 2013 which would give the user the ability to re-write the future of the NBA!

Draft Classes

2001 - Beast10
2002 - Sternz1996 (Faces only, needs help with everything else)
2003 - Zten11
2004 - Green men are beast
2005 -
2006 -
2007 - SvRPS2SFW
2008 -
2009 -
2010 -
2011 -
2012 -
2013 - Tons are out

This is still a developing idea (the draft classes) but the roster itself is a project that is most likely to be finished.
And something I'm wondering about is whether or not I should rate these players by their outcome of their actual current career or what they should have been - such as Kwame Brown living up to the hype of being better than Kevin Garnett.
Once REDitor finally comes out we plan to add the cyberfaces to the players who do have one stored in the game.
Here's the link to the actual roster itself if you haven't viewed it yet - http://www.operationsports.com/forum...nterested.html

And here's the the attribute scale that we plan to use to have all these classes not stand out to the rest - https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/...yWlI0Nnc#gid=0

So if you're interested just comment the DC you would like to work on and I'll add your name.
Thanks for reading!

KEY NOTES:
Potential is one of the most important parts of this roster and if it's ruined or done incorrectly it could possibly ruin the entire association! Below is a little guide given to us by OS member vtcrb
Quote:
70 Rating, 80 Potential=80-90 Overall
64 Rating, 75 Potential= 75-86 Overall
60 Rating, 62 Potential= 62-64 Overall
You can use that as a small helpful reference.
Here is an example from me... If a guy like Kirk Hinrich turns out to be a 70 in your roster don't give him an +70 potential! In this case Hinrich could turn out to be a 85 overall player which is a star/ franchise player. A guy like Hinrich was basically to same kind of player every since he came into the league so it's okay for him to come in high but he shouldn't improve much and in this case should only have a potential rating around 65.

-->below 64 POT = probable bust

Rating
-->75-79= Top 5 draft pick
-->70-74= Lotery Picks
-->64-70= Mid Late 1st
-->55-63= 2nd Round
-->below 53 = probable Undrafted

Could we use this as a base for potential I just think it'll work really well and I think we should base the potential off of how good they are not how good they were speculated to be

Here is something to keep in mind with Your Potential Scale. IF a player has a 65 Overall Rating in the Draft Class and a 70 Potential Rating, he as the chance to Delevop into a 70-75 Overall Player. Whatever the Difference between the INITIAL Overall Rating and the Potential Rating a you multiple that by 2 and get the Range a Player will fall into. I will give a few examples below. OS member BigCKU brought my attention to this in my Draft Class thread and I have been testing it ever since. Now some players will Progress more Some Less Not really sure why, but thought this may help you guys some.

70 Rating, 80 Potential=80-90 Overall
64 Rating, 75 Potential= 75-86 Overall
60 Rating, 62 Potential= 62-64 Overall

Yeah, I was about to post this because
-->75-79= Top 5 draft pick with -->80 POT+ = future all-star
would eventually lead to a 90 overall player. The scales you Sternz1996 posted are pretty much 2k's default potential scales and they lead to every single team having more than 3 +80 overall players and then eventually every player want a max deal AND THEN your association is over. lol

Not to step on anyones toes, not my intention, BUT if you guys want this to work properly, you are going to have to get either a GUIDE to go with OR a person for EACH area of each Draft Class to keep it uniform. You need 1 guy to do Attributes, 1 For Tendencies, 1 for Hot Spots, 1 for Faces, and 1 for Sig Shots. IF not you are going to have 13 different Draft Classes with 13 DIFFERENT ways players have been edited. Just making this suggestion because I think this Project has Potential

I posted a template but yeah I think is a good idea because I know some guys rate people just off ratings and others on how it should be , attributes. I'm definitely in with ratings and I'm good with tendencies but I absolutely hate doing them so I'll need a helping hand with that.
