Impossible to play a friend online?

Has anyone been able to play a specific person online? Last year was pretty bad with needing to preselect friends but now I send an invite they take it and we're not even in the same lobby.

Workaround but have you tried creating an online league? We use online leagues to play scrimmages for years, as its easier that way, also if you want to use custom rosters.

Yes and it wont let him join the league lol. Shows me he's in the league but doesn't let him get in.

To play against your friend you just go to the quick match screen you will see an option to invite your friend. Just have no idea how to change gameplay settings Hopes this helps

Before the patch you couldn't even end up in the same lobby but now the game just crashes the entire xbox while playing. The longest game we've had is 6 mins before it crashed.

This is a major step backwards for me. Why does 2K feel the need to remove features instead of just adding like MLB The Show? That franchise keeps all of the pitching and batting interfaces while adding new ones!

There is no way to change settings when playing against a friend in unranked games! I’m just baffled right now.

So you cannot play a full game against friends? This may be a deal breaker for my friends if I tell them it’s broken. We only play online now mostly and last year was pretty bad as well.

Correct. I've only tried it with one person this year but it happened last year also. This is the only game that does it. I can play any game for hours on end play random people in MyTeam or anything else but whenever we do quick match play with friends it crashes.
