Any changes at all to MJ’s likeness / sigs /etc.?

I heard they added some new Kobe sigs which is great.

Any changes to Jordan at all? Aesthetically it appears he’s identical to 2K21 next gen. Unless I’m missing something.

Anything of note with him, especially signatures?

I would like to know as well. He needs a long overdue update.

Re: Any changes at all to MJ’s likeness / sigs /etc.?

So to answer my own question.

Everything is identical to last year. He still has his dribble combo and I’m assuming/hoping it’s both the normal “R up” and “R up turbo” from last year.

Technically they didn’t remove any sigs and added one dribble sig (running crossover).

All his other dribble sigs now are of other players. It’s weird seeing him with Lillard and Kobe dribble sigs.

He now has a Kobe fadeaway sig which is new. I guess it’s maybe more accurate than last years? Since Kobe copied his exact fade. Kinda funny since it should be MJ’s sig to begin with lol.

Man, please share your findings.

I feel like they just gave him any random dribble sigs. No way he dribbles like f’ing Tatum, Lillard, etc. lmao. They wish. Ridiculous.

2K20 and previous 2k's had far greater customization for MJ. His likeness hasn't changed at all.

They had a much larger span of jumper options to the point where I had his play style absolutely nailed. Step backs. Shimmy shots. Pulls ups.

All been been neutered.

2k22 is sorely lacking. Even his 'signature' size up doesn't look accurate. MJ was never really a sauce type player with over the top handles. Guy was fundamental perfection, yet 2k22 has removed a plethora of standard dribble/shot options.

Exactly. It looks disgraceful with MJ having these goofy showy dribble moves from other players. Like cheapens the immersion into him. The dude was literally no wasted movements. His lightning first step rendered dribbling in place meaningless. In 2K21 I didn’t need to do those dribble moves as it was so easy to get to the basket with him. Hoping 22’s defensive improvements don’t make it so you can’t beat defenders with simple reflexes, footwork and athleticism, therefore have to rely on dribble moves.

Another issue I found is in 2K22 does anyone find it impossible to use the post trigger, lay into a defender, then spin off them to get to the rack? That was a patented MJ move. In 22 when I try it, my player unrealistically just turns around and faces the defender. So dumb.

Would love to help, but after a full 2 days of playing, I gave up and am sending the game back.

I'm sticking with 2k20 and perhaps even 2k16 again. SOOOO many more player customization options for shooting and dribbling.

I could care less about shiny next gen visuals, so long as I can get players playing the way they should, with unique move sets.
