Newcomer Question: Icons above players’ heads

I play mainly on MyLeague, and am new to the game.

In game, icons appear over players’ heads that I’m not sure about. Sometimes a player will have what appears to be a little ‘T’ above his head. Other times a basketball appears over his head. What do those mean?

Re: Newcomer Question: Icons above players’ heads

The sideways T is indicating which side that player is intending to set a screen for the ball handler.

The ball icon is both when your teammate just wants the pass and when the play is written for the next pass to go to him.

Good on you for using myleague, i'd suggest sticking to it this year. Online modes tend to be full of no lifers this time in the cycle, and they'd ruin your enjoyment IMO.
