Asking people 50 dollar to respec their 86 overal build.

Seems like a bright idea.
Nothing can go wrong right?

You're not getting it. Yes, 200k to 85. But say it's only 20k to respec the first time. Then it's 40k, then its 80k. Then its 120k. Then it's 180k.

They would make a killing.

But the other thing is... If you respec i don't think you should have to lose the money or attribute points you allocated the first time. I just think this would be a really cool feature.

Who is this idea being marketed to? I feel like this would only be successful if you REALLY like playing with multiple builds. Even if MyPlayer builds were "free", I couldn't see myself having no more than 2-3 builds to use, and it would probably have to do more with the position than the archetype.

For VC, I wouldn't mind "tweaking" my build's attribute points and takeover. However, if I already invested that much time and VC in a build, I just couldn't see myself "throwing it away" for another build. I rather just create a new build and grind it while merely shelving my other build. Right now, my PG is on the shelf until I get urge to play with it again.

It's been multiple years now i have 7-8 fully maxed characters. I've gone some years with 10-12 builds and had to delete builds to go over 10. Every year i have at least a couple characters that are literal duplicates. Whether it's going with a different height/weight whatever.

I guarantee I'm not the only person who would enjoy this.

20K might get your new build to 70 overall

They are already making a killing by having people make new builds.

Your idea would be far less profitable.

Respec a 86 overal would earn them 20K the first time and 180K the 4th time.

Getting 1 new build to 86 overall will earn them 200K.

4 new builds would earn them 800K.

It would be a cool feature for consumers but a ******** decision for 2K business wise.

People can, and WILL still make 4 characters. They would just be adding a NEW revenue stream.

For everyone who would make one or two less builds. They maybe have the possibility to make MORE than the 400k they missed out on.

Or are you just going to argue till i concede your point?

Maybe the possibility?

That is an excellent argument that might convince 2K.

Perhaps you should do the math to figure out how much vc is needed for a 95 overall build.

Then calculate how many respec you need to sell to make up for 1 missed build.

Then consider that any respec might actually be a missed build.

Ugh...

You always act like it's my job to prove you wrong. Rather than just realizing this is all theoretical anyways. Regardless of how it's implemented and the pros and cons of the situation, the exact odds and ends, it's just cool to have a discussion man. New ideas are fun to talk about.

No disrespect, but I really think you're in the minority. To me, that just seems silly to have that many builds. Most people try to emulate the most popular or best (videogame wise) builds of the game. I don't give the average 2K player that much credit in wanting to play with that many builds in NBA 2K. In general, 2K players are copycats and lack imagination while being scared of taking a challenge with certain builds.

For example....there are tons of walking animations for the Neighborhood, and it seems like everyone tend to use that same stupid animation where they look like they're trying to impersonate a plane.
