Draft Presentation

I've looked for other posts about this, and im not seeing any.

When did this awful Draft Presentation Start? I remember a few years ago it was showing the Draft Stage with the Commissioners voiceovers.

Now its just this 8 bit RPG text sound? And you can't sim?

I want to say 2K15 was the last one to have the most realistic presentation of the draft. I think 2K16 started with the voice over, and then 2K19 went to the text only version.

Its just so baffling how bad it is. In what way does this text make sense? At least if it was without the stupid text sounds. It was really cool so see the reporters comment on something like a player on your roster's age so you drafted a replacement for him.

But other than that, theres no timer...theres no simming, only by button spamming.

It's been like this since 2k16. As a Mycareer guy I'm disappointed that we don't get the actual draft of going across the stage and shaking the commissioners hand like in last gen last time we had that was in 2k14.

For the MyGM/Myleague guys it's worse.

I agree that its time for the draft presentation to be changed. I actually didn't mind it initially because the old draft presentation had gotten stale. It was more realistic, though. I know its probably a lot of work but just make the draft like real life. Make the draft like it was from like 2K11 to 2K15 or whatever it was, but have the players actually walk up to the podium and grab their hat and shake the commissioners hand. 2K14 this gen had some cool vignettes in MyCareer before the draft that showed players strengths and weakness, it was really well done. I'd love to see more of this incorporated. I know at a certain point the highlights will be recycled like College Hoops 2K8 but its immersive.

Could definitely be better. Needs tickers and suggestions at the bottom featuring the best available players. Needs a timer and it'd be cool to get back in the commissioner's voice over. And that's just off the top of my head.

Another aspect of the game where 2k just changed something which was working good just for the sake of change and replaced it with something worse.
