But just as easily guardable on the other side since 60% of the lineup can't shoot for nothing.

Dont sleep on locks this year offensively. They actually aren't that much of a liability. You can still space the floor pretty well with them and if the PG has Dimer on Gold or HOF they'll hit at a nice clip too. 3 defenders On one team does sound a bit excessive though lol.

I've played against enough of them to know that they will only make it if they are wide open. If you are in the area they will brick it.

And guess what happens if you're in the vicinity? Something is opening up for something else.

These are the averages in the 4 games we played:
74 ppg
18 rebounds
22.7 assists
.659 FG
.570 3PT

We weren't playing world beaters, but they weren't bums.

Look, not everybody needs 4 sharps to figure out how to run an offense, although 2k deserves credit for that. Hopefully one day you can figure it out too.

(Why you hating so much? A team comes out not running 5 out and all I get is hate SMH)

The switchability on everything is a huge deal to limiting teams that rely on a lot of outside shooting. Coupled with two HOF Defensive stopper and rim protector, you aren't scoring inside either.

The fact is, shooting is too easy. The SG and SF get bronze and silver corner specialist and I think also have a catch and shoot badge. I shot 50% from three and don't have any badges. The defense has to respect the spot up shooting.

With all that said, the PG and SG have to shoot really well and ours do. Without them it'd be definitely hard, but they draw so much attention that it spaces for everyone else.

Haha I don’t think it’s so much hate as disbelief that a lineup with so few sharps could be viable. I’m glad you’re finding a way to get Ws without all sharps though, bro. I’m guessing you guys get a decent amount of fast breaks with your lockdowns running out since they’re really fast without the ball. I could see how your team could work if you can switch effectively and force enough misses. Inside scoring is brutal in the half court but it’s at least semi useful on fast breaks.

I'm sure we'll find a team that's gonna kick our ***, but I really like playing with the lineup. The defensive rotations are a lot easier to make and they are constantly running into defensive stoppers, so their perimeter and interior badges are often nullified (the Sg doesn't have badges yet). When we figure out a team's pet play and counter, so we know how to have the helper help the helper, it makes their life miserable.

But yeah. I'm not gonna pretend to be a saint about any of this. It's cheesy as hell, lol. The first month of the game taught us three 2k19 principles:

1) Outlet passes overpowered
2) Steals overpowered
3) 3 pt shooting too OP for shooters and non shooters

This felt easier to counter 5 out cheese with, grind it out a little and piss them off. It's definitely ridiculously stupid, but if you're gonna get cheesed, might as well throw a block of provolone and swiss back at them

our offense definitely revolves around the 1/2 shooting, but in this game they're both like super Klay and curry. Combined with the fact that the other 2 LDD can spot up shoot and finish, we don't feel too strangled on offense

I mean damn I hit a limitless 3 lmao

It works because the opponents own sharps get killed on the offensive glass, the SF pure rebounds like a big man and there's nothing that can keep it off the glass outside of putting a GC on him. We have 3 players with 80+ rebounding when boosted, all of them are faster than the guy guarding them in most cases. We played a team that was 130-20 something in our 3rd game, they had a top 10 scorer on their team and their offense grinded to a halt, beat them by 30.

Also, I think we have a solution for the 5 out offense too, easiest thing would be to hide the PG on one of their shooters and put one of the SF lockdowns on their center (6'7 and 6'10 with 99 and 91 lateral quickness) so that when they run the high screen it's just a simple switch where they now have a perimeter lockdown on them and our rim protecting big switches back onto their rim rolling GC.
