Tips for defending the Post Fade?

Was playing a match against CPU earlier. CPU keeps post fading me at will pretty much. I feel like i'm defending right, but just not quick enough. Depending on the distance they create I either mash turbo and hands up in their face, or i'll jump over to cover distance if they created a ton of space and I don't have time to turbo over. Any skilled guys got tips on how to defend this better? And in case you're wondering players, i'm guarding Lebron with PG. Lebron has a high lvl post fade obviously, but PG has HOF lockdown badge. For some reason I still can't stop him though. I'll lock him up initially then he'll go straight to the post and start trying to get me to bite on fakes. I'll keep him locked up and then out of no where he'll fade and i'd react appropriately, but he'll still hit it 9 times outta 10. Any tips?

Are you just using the right stick to contest or are you using Y/Triangle? Right stick contest isn't going to do much against a fade, and the game is probably reading them as lightly contested at best. Obviously if he is able to create space, even jumping won't do much, but if you're able to keep a body on him, you still need to jump to really bother the shot.

When it comes to Lebron in the post you have to send a double team and then try to scramble/rotate on defense after the initial pass. The space he creates with that post fade makes him impossible to guard with any success one on one. It's either double team or pray!

Well what I do depends on the space he creates. If it's just a normal amount of space, i'll jump over with a vertical contest. If it's a lot of space, i'll turbo over and hands up once I get to him. So far they just haven't seemed to be working much though, even with a lockdown defender like PG.

No idea if this will work, but try flicking the stick upwards for a contest rather than holding it.

I really don't like sending doubles cuz then he'll just pass out to the open man for a shot. I'll usually let a help defender rotate on D, swipe at the ball and then get back to their man. They usually just end up fouling him though smh. But yh his post fade is crazy. Think it's rated in the 90's.

I was doing that at first cuz I realized just holding hands up is more of a "soft" auto contest and flicking it up like you're saying is more of a "hard" contest. The problem is with flicking the stick up for a hard contest, you commit to it and go up no matter what. So if he actually doesn't fade and it's a fake, i'll jump and be out of position allowing him to get the easy basket. That's why I started just holding hands up instead.
